"I come from China, and at the moment, I

am a Ph.D. candidate at the University of

Auckland with a major in Civil Engineering.

The course I am studying at the ELA is the

English Pathway for Postgraduate Studies

(EPPS). Lesson 2 in the EPPS is really helpful,

I learned a lot of skills for my further studies

in the university, such as how to do

seminars, how to prepare your

presentation, and the most important thing

is it helps me to cultivate a good habit to

write an essay or a research paper, I

learned all procedures in this class.

Besides, the 'Meet2Chat' in the ELA is also a

good program. It is kind of like an 'English

corner'. It is really suitable for foreign

students to make friends because it helps

us to share different opinions towards

topics and get knowledge from a different

culture."
