The Story of ELAN Group
In 2004 the story of ELAN Group started as the
company was established as a pioneering media house
to provide the most innovative and efficient media tools
for premium audience delivery in the State of Qatar.
Since the company was unveiled, ELAN Group worked
closely with the regulatory authorities in Qatar and
positioned itself as a strategic partner and an effective
contributor to the overall growing development of Qatar.
During the past 13 years and since its establishment;
ELAN Group aligned its strategy with the long-term
objectives of the Qatar Vision 2030. Contributing to the
diversification of the Qatari economy; as well as,
ensuring the development of the city as per highest-
quality standards.
The growing needs and multiple business
opportunities within the Qatari Market, one of
the fastest growing economies in the world,
urged the Group's leadership to diversify its
offerings.
Today, ELAN Group operates through four divisions; ELAN Media, ELAN Urban, ELAN Events &
ELAN Entertainment.
It owns the largest signage factory in Qatar, ELAN Signage Factory; in addition to the most
advanced print house, ELAN Print.
The various strategic partnerships that the Group signed to raise the standards of media, events,
entertainment & city beautification across the MENA region includes JC Decaux, MCI, Fira
Barcelona, Live Nation & VIS Mobility.
The Challenge
Whilst the Group generated continuous growth from pursuing new opportunities and diversifying its activities; the new divisions, worked in silos, each pursuing growth in isolation of the others. This led to multiple missed opportunities to improve profitability and grow the business.

A holistic review of its business operations philosophy was conducted in a drive to maximize business efficiency by
creating lasting synergies between the different divisions.
The synergies aimed at enhancing the Group’s revenue generating model and creating a proactive business
development strategy.
Creating the synergy required the following multi-phased efforts by all the internal stakeholders to ensure this overhaul leads to visible efficiency in terms of strategic
coordination and operational synchronization among the various teams:

opportunities.
Repositioning of ELAN from a
group of separate companies to
an integrated media,
entertainment & city
beautification Group.
Centralizing procurement within
ELAN Group to accelerate the
purchasing process & generate
economies of scale.

The synergies created between the various divisions of the Group led to an increase in the efficiency & productivity in gaining business opportunities in the local and regional markets.

The 15 Pedestrian Bridges Project
Is another example on the synergy created between ELAN Urban & ELAN Media.
ELAN Urban is working on building 15
pedestrian bridges across Qatar.

those bridges to generate ad revenue that
will result in a self sufficient & financially
independent bridges
