This is presentation was made to a group of Ugandan teachers who are currently preparing to host eLearning Africa 2014. The presentation covered the basis of what to consider when writing a paper/proposal to present at the conference and how to apply for the scholarship. Proposal Selection Criteria
Cover the conference themes broadly. Proposal content contributes towards participants‘ understanding of the defined topic. Speakers need to be sufficiently immersed in the proposed content to be able to present first-hand experience.Speaker has good command of English/Frenchcheck any referenced websites
Other Considerations
DiversityGender balanceAvoid having more than one person (additional co-presenters)Proposers should be willing and able to attend the full conference Proposals where they can be successfully realised without a lot of technical support. Avoid commercially driven proposalsAvoid repetitionLocal sound proposals are always given preference.
