Instramac (Pty) ltd is a South African company which was established in1989 and provides control and instrumentation services, which includeproject engineering, design and system integration.

Our vision is to build strong relationships with end users who requireturnkey projects, and with electrical engineering consultants andsolution providers who manage turnkey projects. The relationships willbe built around Controlgear Products, Controlgear Systems andInstramac successfully delivering the complete E,C&I portion to turnkeyprojects.

OUR OFFERING

PRODUCT DISTRIBUTIONWe offer a wide range of premium branded electrical switchgear and associatedproducts from leading manufacturers with whom we have distribution agreements. Thismeans that we are not only a “one-stop” switchgear supplier to the marketplace, but weare also able to offer them “best” pricing on branded products without the need forthem to compromise on product quality due to budgetary constraints.

CONSULTING SERVICESMV and LV electrical consultancy and engineering design services on all projects from small plants through to full turnkey projects. The Instramac engineers also integrate seamlessly with the engineers from Controlgear Systems to provide control solutions for clients requiring system integration services. This also gives us the ability to undertake audits of control equipment on existing plants and provide recommendations to upgrade and/or improve current processes.

AUTOMATIONInstramac employs dedicated control engineers to offer project or system investigation,analysis, design and integration services on all networks and for all industry standardPLC, SCADA, VSD and/or Soft Start control systems, or as required for factory and/orplant automation necessary to provide client driven customised manufacturing andautomation solutions.

MANUFACTURINGControlgear Systems has their own electrical engineering team, with many years combined experience, necessary to design and manufacture MCC’s, Minisubs, DB’s, Cast Resin Transformers, MV and LV prefabricated sub-stations, PLC Panels, Soft Starters and VSD’s as well as any non-standard mild and stainless steel enclosure systems in all sizes and to the latest SANS and IEC standards as well as to any client specific requirements and/or specifications. All the solutions stated above can also be containerized, and be built indoors. The assembly plant has three sections with a combined space of 3000 sq/m, each section with a 10 ton crane.

PROJECT ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENTOur combined engineering teams offer CAD & Eplan design and drawing services, as wellas EC&I on and/or off-site project management including SHEQ & HIRA risk assessments.

SITE INSTALLATION SERVICESWe have dedicated teams which offer on-site EC&I installation, including MV and LV equipment, control and instrumentation equipment, as well as cable racking and associated cabling, cold and hot commissioning and the issuing of Certificates of Compliance (CoC’s) for completed electrical projects.

TURNKEY EC&I PROJECTSThrough integration of our group of companies, we can provide full turnkey EC&Iprojects throughout Africa.
