This Training System is based on integrated sets of Training Modules built in metal housings with safety connectors and clear

synoptic depicting the inside logic. The two sets are designed to exercise Installations circuits.

Each module contains one specific electrical function that can be connected to the others by means of 4 mm safety cables to

implement different circuit combinations (control circuits of the Industrial Installations modules, when powered at low voltage,

have 2 mm safety sockets).

The significant advantage for the student is that he can concentrate on the functional flow of the electrical system he is designing

without having to worry about the characteristics of the components. Another advantage is that the wiring, and therefore the

implementation time, is drastically reduced.

All Modules can be used both mounted on a vertical frame or on a bench and are therefore suitable for teacher demonstration

and for student use..

The available Modules are listed under each set in the following pages. Others can be developed on specific customer

requirements.

Various options include the Kit version, disassembled and provided with full mounting instructions to give the students additional

training opportunity (suffix K) or transparent panel version (suffix T) for a full internal view of the module.

Owing to their total compatibility, it is possible to expand, at any time, the Module configuration originally acquired.

Power Supply, Instruments, cables and a Test Station with Bench, Universal Power Supply and Panels particularly suitable for

testing motor control circuits, necessary for a correct execution of the exercises, are also proposed below as a separate set.

An Exercise Manual is supplied with each Installation Module Set. Both discuss the theory and show drawings of the electrical and

practical implementation of a large variety of exercises.

The modules are the same modules of the set for industrial installations, modified on their back with the addition of switches to be used to cause

the defects in the circuits. Therefore more than 20 defects can be simulated.

RESIDENTIAL ELECTRIC WIRING TRAINER TYPE T/IMP-R The trainer consists of a board, approximately 750 x 850mm, on which the map of a typical apartment is drawn and

each room contains the basic equipment required for distribution and utilization of electric power. Each electric

component is accessed through 4mm safety connectors thus making it possible to implement a very large variety of

residential installation circuits.

The apartment has 4 rooms and a balcony equipped as listed below. The components are fixed on the board,

connected to the safety connectors on the back and identified by their symbols printed on the front. Input is 220VAC

and so are the differential switch, the LED lamps and the switch relay.

MOTOR CONTROL SIMULATOR TYPE CONTMOT / SIM Simulator for motor control panel with synoptic including :

N. 4 contactors, N. 1 thermal relay, N. 4 signal lamps, N. 4 buttons (forward, reverse, stop,

TYPE KIT/ANALDIST The module studies and measures the quality of the electric energy, relief of the harmonicas, takes the relative

corrective provisions to obtain acceptable wave forms for the good working of the electric and electronic

RESIDENTIAL INSTALLATION TRAINER TYPE CIVILTEST The trainer of residential installation type CIVILTEST allows studying the electrical installation as wiring, measurements and certification. CIVILTEST was realized

with the purpose to train the students to the installation, the test and the certification of residential electrical installation. The equipment allows to create a

residential electrical installation, which simulates the real electrical installation of a house, make the controls and the measurements regarding the performances

and the electrical security according to the standards CEI 64-8 and the law 46/90 and issue the relative certification. The trainer is divided into 2 sections in a

mobile station.

CYCLE OF THE ENERGY AND QUALITY OF THE ELECTRIC ENERGY Series of modules and instruction manuals with suggested experiences. The modules are equipped with points of measure through safety terminals

to help the students during measurements and guarantee high level safety. The levels of voltage and power of the modules 1 … 6 are coordinated to

allow the coupling of all the modules and allow the simulation and the study of the complete cycle of the energy.

MODULE 1: PRODUCTION OF THE ENERGY TYPE CE-PE/2 The module simulates a plant for the production of the energy. It is possible:

parallel with the net, generation of active and reactive power. The production

mechanism is faithfully simulated and does not need any rotating motors. It

includes the principal electric protections of a plant and a multifunction

instrument for measures.

MODULE 2: TRANSMISSION OF THE ENERGY TYPE SLE/2 The module simulates two high voltage lines. Study of the lines working at no-

load and at load, change of voltage, voltage drops, losses in line, fluxes of

active and reactive power, phasing, parallel connected lines. As option, it is

available a kit for EMC study at 50 Hz.

MODULE 3: DISTRIBUTION OF THE ENERGY TYPE IDLE/3 The module simulates a medium voltage line. It includes power supply, line

model, distribution transformer. Study of the line working at no-load and at

load, change of voltage, voltage drops, losses in line, fluxes of active and

reactive power, phasing. Analysis of convenience to carry energy at high

voltage. As option, it is available a kit for EMC study at 50 Hz.

MODULE 4: PROTECTION RELAY TYPE RE/1 AND RE/2 RE/1 Protection of machinery and power lines from overload, short circuit,

earth fault

RE/2 Protection of lines and power transformers in radial and ring systems

from undervoltage, overvoltage, overcurrent, residual overcurrent, residual

overvoltage, maximum directional current, directional of earth fault, thermal

image for lines and transformers.

MODULE 5: PHASE SHIFTING TRANSFORMER TYPE PST/1 Phase Shifting Transformer is a transformer that has an adjustable phase

shifting between input and output. The active power flowing in a transmission

line is proportional to the voltages on the sending and receiving side and to the

sine of the electrical angle between both sides. The PST allows to control

active power flow in parallel transmission lines changing the electrical angle

between input and output.

With SLE/2 and PST/1 the student can simulate a load flow problem shifting

active power from the first line to the second.

MODULE 6: PARALLEL OPERATION OF ALTERNATOR The module includes alternator coupled to a.c. motor, inverter to adjust

speed of the motor and dc power supply for excitation of alternator. The

module allows synchronizing and parallel operation of rotating machine with

infinite power bus.

After the parallel operation it is possible to adjust mechanical power of the

motor and excitation current of the alternator to generate and transfer to

bus active and reactive power.

A4240 - DC COMPOUND EXCITATION MACHINES This is a series of educational motors/generators that are basically industrial models especially equipped to be suitable for training. For this purpose the windings

ends are connected to 4 mm safety sockets in a metal housing on top of which a clear electrical drawing shows the internal logic. The students can therefore easily

understand operation and windings connections. The machine has two excitation windings: one for series and one for shunt excitations.

The units can be supplied with an experiment manual which explains typical exercises that can be executed on these machines. A comprehensive set of

accessories and a joint allow easy and quick coupling with other machines or with a brake.

Brushless motor and control Didactic Kit that consists of a three-phase brushless motor with dedicated drive. The motor can be removed

from the holder and mechanically coupled to a load. Max RPM: 4000

Rated Torque: 0.0625 Nm

Maximum torque: 0.19 Nm

The three-phase brushless motor has three stator windings connected in delta and comes complete with hall

effect sensors that provide information on the position of the rotor. This type of motor has excellent torque

characteristics, low inertia and possibility of strictly constant speed. For operation it is necessary to add only a

stabilized power supply 30 V - 5 A, the kit comes complete with knobs, switches and cables.

B3510-W – LINEAR MOTOR The B3510-W module includes an on-board stepping linear actuator and the

electronic drive circuit to allow the experimentation and investigation of the basic

characteristics of the motor. The motor is provided with a position indicator, this

facilitates the study of motor positioning, take-in point, loss of step. The electronic

section includes a phase-signal generator and power drive stage. The motor can be

operated manually in single-steps or sequentially from an on-board clock generator.

The module also includes a PC data link for full remote operation. A software package

is provided with the trainer for this purpose. The clear component layout and rugged

construction renders this unit particularly ideal for the most demanding of classroom

conditions.

B3510-S – AC MOTOR CONTROL The B3510-S module includes an AC micro-motor and drive circuit. It is designed to allow the

student to study the applications, principles and limitations of these transducers. The panel

includes a variable-frequency, digital PWM sine/square signal generator that is used as a

pilot signal for the power driver stage.

The power driver stage produces the two voltages for the motor phases. An optical encoder

is supplied to measure motor speed.

The clear component layout and rugged construction renders this unit particularly ideal for

the most demanding of classroom conditions.

B3510-G – DC MOTOR SPEED CONTROL The B3510-G module incorporates all the sub-systems necessary for the study of DC

motor speed control in both open and closed-loop set-ups. The module has two small DC

motors ganged together. One is used as the drive motor and the other as a tachometric

generator. A slot-type optical feedback sensor is also mechanically ganged to a DC motor.

The small motors ensure safe operation in all circumstances, this is important when the

student has little experience.

for the most demanding of classroom conditions.

closed-loop position control system. The clear component layout and rugged
