    PART 3 - E5ECUTION

    3.1 INSPECTION

    A. $>amine conditions under w!ic! safety and motor disconnects are to e installed. 3otify $ngineer inwriting of conditions detrimental to proper completion of t!e wor. Do not proceed wit! wor untilunsatisfactory conditions !ave een corrected.

    3.2 INSTALLATION

    A. 2nstall safety and motor disconnect switc!es as indicated, in accordance wit! manufacturer8s writteninstructions, requirements of applicale &tandards, and in accordance wit! recognied industry

    practices to ensure t!at installation complies wit! requirements and serves intended function.". Coordinate as necessary to interface installation of safety and motor disconnects wit! ot!er wor.

    C. #rotect disconnect switc!es from dirt, moisture and construction deris, susequent and duringinstallation until proFect is accepted y wner.

    D. ig!ten connectors and terminals, including screws olts and equipment grounding connections inaccordance wit! equipment manufacturer8s pulis!ed torque tig!tening values for equipmentconnectors.

    $. 2nstall disconnect switc!es used wit! motor-driven appliances and motors and controllers wit!insig!t of controller position unless ot!erwise indicated.

    0. #rovide o> wit! spare set of eac! sie fuse used on proFect. #rovide nameplate on switc!,indicating equipment served.

    G. 2nstall fuses in fused switc!es.

    ;. #rovide equipment grounding connections, sufficiently tig!t to assure a permanent and effectiveground, for electrical disconnect switc!es.

    3.3 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL

    A. 6pon completion of installation of electrical disconnect switc!es and after circuitry !as eenenergied, demonstrate capaility and compliance wit! requirements. Close all switc!es to c!ec forproper energiation of all loads. %!ere possile, correct malfunctioning units t!en retest todemonstrate compliance ot!erwise, remove and replace wit! new units and retest.
