• A conductor is a object that allows electrons to flow through .e.g. metal.
• Really good conductors would be copper, silver and gold.
What is a insulator?
• An insulator is something that does not allow the passage of heat or sound.
• Plastic, paper, food and etc, are all insulators.
Where does our electricity come from in NZ?
• Electricity comes from power stations.• Electricity from power stations goes to
pilons.• From pilons to our street wires to our
homes
What is a fuse and what does it do?
• A fuse melts and breaks the electric circuit if the current exceeds a safe level.
