1. Dispenser counter parameters setting There are exists three operating modes how to read or set dispenser’s parameters:

a) Attendant mode

b) Registration mode

c) Maintenance mode

On attendant mode is allowed only to read out values of the basic parameters (from 01 to 07). Change of any parameter is not allowed. It is necessary to use white manager remote controller (button “R”).

On Registration Mode is allowed to read out and set advanced parameters (from 01 to 19). This is the mode for entering various registration data for functioning the dispensing pump. It is necessary to use white manager remote controller (button “M”). After fuelling, return nozzle to hook to be standalone position first (clear all transactions on controlling computer). Press “M” key, and then a registration password can be entered. The password can be changed freely by registration (parameter No.5), but it has been set 1111 temporarily.

On Maintenance Mode is allowed to read and set all possible parameters ( from 01 to 99). The maintenance mode is the mode for inputting various registration data for functioning the dispensing pump, same as the registration mode, and its handling requires sufficient caution because it involves parameters with the basic functions of the dispensing pump. It is necessary to use yellow maintenance remote controller (button “R). After fuelling, return nozzle to hook to be standalone position first (clear all transactions on controlling computer). Press “R key, and then a maintenance password can be entered.

Variant A – Fuelled amount is not rounded. Fuelled amount corresponds with fuelled volume. In some cases fuelled amount is not equal to preset amount – fuelled amount is equal or higher than preset amount. Result: Dispenser sometimes overfill the preset amount. Calculation „Price“ x „Volume“ is every time OK. Variant B – Fuelled amount is every time rounded to preset amount. Fuelled amount in some cases doesn‘t correspond with fuelled volume. Fuelled rounded amount is every time lower or equal to real (calculated) amount (service station owner somtimes losing money). Preset amount is every time equal to the fuelled amount. Result: Dispenser every time fuels exactly the preset amount. Calculation „Price“ x „Volume“ is in some cases higher than fuelled amount. Variant C – Fuelled amount is not rounded. Fuelled amount corresponds with fuelled volume. In some cases fuelled amount is not equal to preset amount – fuelled amount is equal or lower than preset amount. Result: Dispenser sometimes doesn‘t reach the preset amount. Calculation „Price“ x „Volume“ is every time OK. Variant D – Fuelled amount is every time rounded to preset amount. Fuelled amount in some cases doesn‘t correspond with fuelled volume. Fuelled rounded amount is every time higher or equal to real (calculated) amount (customer sometimes losing money). Preset amount is every time equal to the fuelled amount. Result: Dispenser every time fuels exactly the preset amount. Calculation „Price“ x „Volume“ is in some cases lower than fuelled amount. Variant E – Fuelled amount is not rounded. Fuelled amount corresponds with fuelled volume. In some cases fuelled amount is not equal to preset amount – fuelled amount is equal or lower than preset amount. Result: Dispenser sometimes doesn‘t reach or overfill the preset amount. 3.2. Electronic calibration of the pump flow meters

Electronic calibration enables to calibrate mechanical flow meters by change of parameter 44 (pulse rate) of the appropriate flow meter.

Calibration routine:

Switch the SW1 of the PDECPU into position ON (right)

Take maintenance remote controller. Go into maintenance mode and set parameter 12 to value 3 (stand alone mode) and set parameter 44 to value 100.00 for tested flow meter.

Go out from the maintenance mode (press <M> or <R>)

Take nozzle that you need to calibrate and fill fuel into calibration vessel (2, 5, 10, 20, 50 or 100 litres).

After filling exactly vessel volume return nozzle to nozzle hook. See filled volume on display and find corresponding value of the pulse rate in calibration table.

For example: value 19.98 (vessel 20 litres) corresponds with pulse rate value 99,90 in calibration table D.

Go into maintenance mode and set the parameter 44 to new pulse rate value

Go out from the maintenance mode (press <M> or <R>)

Take nozzle and make testing filling into calibration vessel (2, 5, 10, 20, 50 or 100 litres).

Take the maintenance remote controller and go into maintenance mode and set parameter 12 back to 1 or 0.

Go out from the maintenance mode

Switch the SW1 into position OFF (left)

Page 19

3.3. Twice flow meter setting in Russian countries

In Russian countries is necessary to use two different flow meter setting (pulse rate), one for summer period and other one for winter period. In PDE electronic counter with version 3.00 values is this solved by switch SW2. When the switch SW2 is on OFF position (left) then counter works with summer period pulse rate setting and when the switch SW2 is on ON position (right) then counter works with winter period pulse rate setting.

In summer period SW2=0FF) is taken for pulse rate value of the parameter 44.

In winter period (SW2=ON) is taken for pulse rate subtraction of values of the parameter 44 and 47 (44-47)

In winter period must be the pulse rate lowe than in summer period because the same amount of the fuel have lower volume in winter. How to set summer/winter pulse rate? Follow next steps:

In summer period

Switch SW2 into left position (OFF) and perform pulse rate calibration of the parameter 44 according above-mentioned calibration methods.

In winter period

Take maintenance remote controller. Go into maintenance mode and set parameter 12 to value 3 (stand alone mode).

Perform testing filling into calibration vessel and find the volume different (in winter you must fill lower volume of the petrol into calibration vessel than in summer time). For example: in winter you fill 0.05 litres less into 20 litres calibration vessel than in summer (summer = 20.00 litres / winter 19.95 litres).

The volume summer/winter difference strongly depends on type of the fuel and measuring temperature.

In table A, B, C, D, E or F find corresponding pulse rate correction value and set this value into parameter no.47. For example: for temperature difference value 0.05 litres is pulse rate correction 0.25 pulse per litre (for calibration vessel 20 litres)

Go into maintenance mode and set the parameter 47 to new correction value

Go out from the maintenance mode (press <M> or <R>)

Switch SW2 into right position (ON), take nozzle and make testing filling into calibration vessel (you must fill accurate volume)

Take the maintenance remote controller and go into maintenance mode and set parameter 12 back to 1 or 0.

Go out from the maintenance mode

Switch the SW1 into position OFF (left)
