as a grade level
MCA-III Math
• Live this year in grades 3-8.• Test will be online with an audio
component available for all students.• There will be 8 sections with about
10 questions in each section.• Pausing capabilities- you can stop
and start the test as needed. Once a section is marked completed, a student can not revisit the section.
Sample MCA III Test
• Links have been set up in each building to access the practice test.
• Students need to have access to the practice test to assure their comfort level is not going to hinder their achievement on test day.
• Paper practice tests are available on MDE’s website. (look for the MCA III practice test)
Changes to pink and gold benchmarks

• All students should have access to gold and pink benchmarks.
• All students should be proficient in gold benchmarks.
• Average and above average students should be proficient in pink benchmarks.
