A Message from Helen

The Summer is passing us by in a hurry and new activities are up ahead! I wanted to start

with a big “Thank you” to everyone who attended our Independence Day Party last

month! Because of all of you, it was a huge success! August will be another fun-filled

month.

On Saturday the 20th at 5:00 pm, we will be hosting our monthly Family Event with Jazz

& Dinner. Please remember to invite your loved ones and friends, we will do our best to

accommodate everyone at a high scale. Our August calendar has many news activities that

were created based on the level of each of you. Please check the calendar inside for more

details of each activity.

We also have some new SPECIAL EVENTS:

. “You’re Never Too Old”, on 8/9/16 @ 3pm. We will be exercising on the birthday of age

discrimination activist “Maggie Kuhn”. I will be set up an “age walk” in our hallways with

an age group is called: “Sassy Seventies”, “Elegant Eighties” and “Noble Nineties”.

. “1800’s Photos from the past”, on 8/26 from 10am - 12pm. We are doing it on the

birthday of American Frontiersman “Davy Crockett” Men should wear a jacket, tie and

black hats for the photo. Women should wear a dress and a bonnet. If you enjoy the

activity, I will consider creating a Photo Club in which you dress up each month for a

different themed photo.

. “Resident of the month”, on 8/30 @ 3:00pm. In recognition of the “National Friendliest

Person in our community”, I’d like to promote from within by recognizing one of you as

“Our friendliest resident” . On this day I will be hosting our “Resident of the month”

award. I will honor the winner with a framed certificate for your door and a guest meal

voucher for you and your loved one to eat a specially prepared lunch by our own Chef

Ken!!!August is sure to be another great month and I can’t wait to enjoy it with each and

every one of you!
