Hailing from Western Australia, Elena Perroni is quickly garnering attention in the United States and abroad. Ms. Perroni is currently in her final year at the world renowned Curtis Institute of Music, where she has performed many leading roles. At Curtis, Ms. Perroni's resume already includes some of the most well known roles in the opera repertory including Adina (L'elisir d'Amore), Manon (Manon, Massenet), Anne Truelove (The Rake's Progress), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), and Magda (La Rondine). Ms. Perroni has also performed the leading roles of Mimi (La Boheme) and Gilda (Rigoletto) at the Chautauqua Music Festival. Ms. Perroni made her professional opera debut with Opera Philadelphia, singing the role of Doris Parker in Charlie Parker's Yardbird (Schnyder), at the legendary Apollo Theatre in New York City. She reprised the role at English National Opera, in the summer of 2017. This season Elena debuted in her home country as Mimi (La Boheme) with the West Australian Opera. As well as quickly attracting attention as a leading lady on the opera stage, Ms. Perroni is also making a name for herself in the concert hall. In 2017, she made her debut with the internationally acclaimed Philadelphia Orchestra singing selections from the leading role of Rusalka (Rusalka, Dvorak) in concert. She will appear again with the Philadelphia Orchestra in the role Tatyana to sing selections of Eugene Onegine in 2018. She has performed Mimi (La Boheme) with Quad Cities Symphony Orchestra, and this season sang as Maria in West Side Story, with the Reno Philharmonic.
