In Loving Memory of Ellen Scheetz 1992 - 2016 The Best God saw you getting tired And a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you And whispered “Come to Me.” With tearful eyes we watched you, And saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

Ellen was born October 30th, 1992 in Sidney MT to Holli Barkkari. Ellen was adopted by Mike Scheetz at age 5 after he and Holli married. She attended Lewis and Clark Elementary, Trinity Christian School, Williston High School and Williston State College.

Ellen loved dance, music, playing video games and was a happy-go-lucky child who loved getting into mischief. Her impish grin would often keep her out of trouble when her imagination got in the way of her schoolwork.

The classic Chiari Malformation headaches were beginning to plague her in her teens. She enjoyed working at a local video store, a Kum & Go convenience retailer, and most recently Hertz car rental. Her headaches continued to increase in severity and duration, disabling Ellen for any job. Her Chiari nearly took her vision, but she continued on through countless tests, trips to Barrow Neurological Institute, and two major head surgeries that were scary beyond belief. In her short time on this earth, she endured more pain than many of us ever experience. ER visits, hospital stays, treatments and medications were unpleasant, but she always found ways to make time go by as easily as she could for those around her. She seemed to be realizing that the Chiari was responding less and less to the treatments as time went by.

Ellen is survived by the son she gave birth to, Hudson; her parents, Holli Scheetz of San Tan Valley, Arizona and Mike Scheetz of Williston, North Dakota; her fiancée, Wes McCoshum of Idaho; maternal grandparents, Bobbi Jones and Bill Barkkari both of Columbia Falls, Montana; paternal grandparents, Kenny and Shirley Scheetz of Sidney, Montana; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

At Heaven's door she will be meeting her beloved Grandma, Gail Scheetz and cousin, Erik Matson.
