02.01INTRODUCTION
01 - OBJECTIVES
The Entry Level Training / Multi Crew Cooperation A320 enables low experience pilots to acquire the professional level to undergo an A320 type rating in the most favourable conditions.The course also ensures learning MCC.
Insurance of the certificate - PrivilegeCertificate is being delivered upon satisfactory training
02 - PEDAGOGICAL MEANS
2.1 General pointsDuration : 15 working days.
5 days : MCC theoretical phase :• Heavy aircraft knowledge• Overview of FNPT2• Crew Co-operation Course
8 days : FNPT 2 training• IFR procedures• Normal & Emergency procedures• MCC objectives
2 days : additional training (Self Study or FNPT 2).
2.2 Documentation- ELT MCC programme- FCOM 3 extracts- QRH (normal/abnormal FNPT 2 check-list)*- JEPPESEN documentation - «BRIEFINGS» reference manual (C.R.M. module)- «COCKPIT PANEL» posters- «FLOW PATTERNS» guide* QRH to be returned at the end of the course.

03 - ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
To be admitted on an ELT/MCC A320 training course, an applicant shall comply with the following requirements :
• Hold an aeroplane PP or CPL which validity, set out in FCL 1.025, covers the period of the course.
• Hold an IR-ME type rating which validity covers the period of the course.

PrerequisitesMinimum prerequisites to enter an ELT MCC :• Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating Multi Engine. • ATP written exam.• Fluency in English.• Flight experience :
- 220 hours,- 100 hours as Pilot in command (PIC),- 25 hours on multi engine aircraft (10 h can be completed in a simulator).

5.2 Simulator instruction General Points The aim of the simulator phase is to enable the trainee to acquire a satisfactory level in the following domains :
Flying modern turbojet aeroplanes• Bringing out inertia, decelerations, speed on trajectory, need for stabilization, importance
of pre set power settings• Adaptation to Fly By Wire• Adaptation to IFR rules in MPA aircraft (high speed)
Flying in the right seat• Acquisition of visual references • Body movements• Manual flight, use of auto pilot
Multi crew cooperation• Task sharing - PF/PNF• PF-PNF roles• Respect of Standard calls• Checks and crosschecks• Respect of SOPs and guides
Each session in the simulator is preceded by a briefing of an hour and a half minimum andfollowed by a debriefing according to trainee’s performance (Mini 30 mn) In each session, during briefings and debriefings, one hour will be specifically dedicated to crew cooperation.SIM sessions are divided in 2 X 2 hours parts.Each trainee performs one part as PF and the other as PNF.
06 - TRAINING RECORD
6.1 GeneralA progression file is opened on arrival for each trainee.The instructor's task is to keep it updated throughout the progress.The trainee's duty is to sign each sheet ( follow up and synthesis).

■ 7 : Immediate level off at FL120 and maintain 300 kt
■ 8 : The instructor guides the trainee to set ATHR ON and select speed.The trainee handles the plane during some maneuvers (turns and climb to FL 140).
■ 9 : Explain :- Speed trend versus thrust- Flight envelope on the speed scale (VLS - Vmax - usable Mach range)- Flight envelope during maneuvers (Turn / Gload / Alpha prot)
■ 10 : During descent, speed 300 kt then 250 kt then green dot – observe pitch angle –observe influence of speed brakes when extended.
End up the exercises at around 30 nm from runway threshold
■ 11 : The trainee intercepts and maintains a prescribed track and speed (VOR or ADF)with wind effects correction/adjustment. Assess accuracy and stability.
■ 12 : If necessary freeze position during approach preparation, briefing and check list .Speed and altitude targets are selected in compliance with STARs and APP proceduresShort preparation: FPLN (RWY only), PERF (QNH, MDA only), RAD NAV
■ 13 : Deceleration from Gdot to VAPP. Speed and altitude targets are selected in accor-dance with VFE, VFE next and speed trend
■ 17 : 250 kt on runway track and set FPV and rose NAV on the ND. Turn to downwind andobserve turn radius. In downwind, decelerate to Gdot then turn to runway track andobserve turn radius. During the demo, explain the FPV. After the demo, report down-wind for visual pattern.
■ 18 : Explain how to use the FPV in order to maintain level or flight path angle.

■ 13 to 20:The trainee demonstrates his ability to fly the plane performing different proceduresin raw data. The instructor provides assistance, if required, for preset values, birdsymbolism and utilization. The trainees demonstrate their ability to comply with SOP and crew cooperationperforming the various procedures.During radar vectoring, the instructor requests speeds changes requiring configura-tion Flaps 1 or 2. The trainee shall demonstrate his ability to select the appropriateconfiguration.
■ 21 : The instructor retards one lever and explains the use of rudder to centre the Beta target, use of rudder trim and use of max continuous thrust. Repeat up to proficiency, shut down the engine and release the simulator (just to flythe aircraft), the instructor expedites ECAM actions and summarizes the Status.
■ 23 : Whenever necessary, help the trainee to maintain the beta target centred.

When optional, the trainees may decide to use or not AP, FD and ATHR.Review of SOPs in normal or abnormal situations in order to improve trainees confidence. Both should act as PF and PNF.
■ 6 : Insert a flame out with no damage.
■ 7 : Engine relight is successful - Reset fuel 8t after engine relight.
■ 8 : Allow the trainees to perform the approach preparation before setting ENG FIRE tocheck their ability to modify their plan of action.
