“Shoe”

Description:

In this piece of artwork, I see the sky, and a lot of grass and trees. It appears to be an outdoor landscape. The trees and the grass have texture in them. The artists created texture by moving the paintbrush in different directions. The main colors in this painting are blue and green, with a little bit of brown. The colors in this painting are balanced. The lines are abstract. This looks three-dimensional because of the layering of objects.

If I was in this scene, I would see an open field full of trees and grass. I would hear wind blowing and birds chirping. In this case, the shoe was the artist’s media and the paintbrush and paint was the technique. Although, I can’t learn much from the title, but I can learn a lot from looking at the elements and objects within the painting.

Analysis:

This piece of artwork is asymmetrical because the same objects aren’t repeating on each side. This is also balanced because of the combination of light and dark spaces. The focus of this painting is the trees and the arched gateway because they stand out from everything else in the

painting. Also, when you look at the piece of artwork, the trees and arched gateway are where your eyes look first. There is movement in the painting because of the unity with the color scheme and repeated elements. Some of the repeated elements within the painting are trees, grass, and the sky.

Interpretation:

To me, this piece of artwork was meant to show the artist’s feelings about loving to be outside. I think the artist’s created this because she likes being outside and around nature. Although there isn’t symbolism in the painting, the artist wanted to give people the feeling of being outside and surrounded by nature. The piece of artwork reminds me of being outside in an open field. The work doesn’t really relate to other ideas or events in the world.

Judgment:

I really like this piece of artwork. It gives me a feeling of relaxation and calmness. I also like the painting because I really like being outside. When I look at the artwork, I feel like I’m outside and surrounded by nature. This piece isn’t boring due to the fact that there are patterns. There are also repeated elements as well as elements that aren’t repeated. This painting is very unique and interesting.
