Sending an email attachment.• Explain how you attached the email.

You attach an email by opening a new email and writing the subject, then you add the attachment (photo) or the writing of with the ‘subject’ is about.

• Explain why you used the language you did.

The language which is used are words such as ‘To’ and ‘From’ showing I'm saying who the letter is ‘To’ (them) and who the letter is ‘From’ (me).

Replying• Explain what you did when you replied to miss?

When I replied to the email I replied with a simple start of ‘Thank-you’ and then carried on with the email of which I was talking about the email I sent before.

I would press reply to send an email back to elf Ernest to thank him.

Forwarding an email• Explain how you forwarded the email.

I forward the email by pressing the ‘Forward’ the message and type into the ‘To’ who wanted to forward it too.

Compressing Files• Explain how you made the advert smaller to send it.

I made the advert smaller by zipping the folder which means the file is made smaller.

• Why is it important to be able to do this?

• Because if its an important email and you don’t compress it might only send half an email.

Muddled Emails

• Santa is new to using his email.

• He has emails from elves, from children and from suppliers.

• How can he keep these in order so they aren’t muddled up?

• Explain how you can use folders to sort out emails.

By putting 3 folders, One for Children, One for Suppliers and One for the Elves.

• Explain why this might be helpful.

This would be helpful because it wouldn't muddle you up or make you not know who each email is off and would make it a bit more organised for him.

Address Book• Add your regular contacts to your address book.

• Why is it important to be able to do this?

Because in case your in trouble you can look into your address book and find there addresses and phone numbers.

Group email• Explain how you added more than one person an email.

You add more than one person to an email by in the ‘To’ box you just type in the names you'd like to send the email to.

Email Safety• Santa is new to using his email.

• Give him a list of tips and advice for staying safe on his email.

• Explain why each tip is important to do.

• Write answers here!

• There should be at least 5 tips with explanations.

1. Not to give out your number or email or password – because then they can access all your details and all your emails, which could have private and confidential information on.

2. Use secure password – because otherwise they'd be easy to guess

3. Don’t give out your personal information –can find a way to hack your accounts or something negative like that.

4. Make sure you know who you're emailing and that its no one random– because they could trick you and could find away of getting your private information.

5. Don’t use the same password for everything –because if they guess your first password they will then know or try it for say Facebook etc. and them they will have access for all of your social media sites too. Because if they know your email they’ll be ale to access everything.

Email Netiquette

• Santa is new to using his email.

• Explain what email netiquette is.

• Give him a list of tips and advice and describe their importance.

• Write answers here!

• There should be at least 5 tips with explanations.

1. Always use lower cap locks when typing – because if you write in capitals it will force the reader into thinking that they're in an argument.

2. Use formal language, Correct grammar - because if you start using ‘slang’ no one will understand what you're going on about

3. Always use ‘to’ and ‘from’ because its going to show you have manners and know how to use texts properly.

4. Make sure your email file is not too big – cause the message will not be able to be sent.

5. If its too big crop the file down –because it’ll be able to send the email then.

No email• Santa is new to using his email.

• He can’t receive any new emails or send any emails.

• What might the problem be?

• Describe some simple checks he can do to see if he can solve the problem.

1. Has the message been sent?

2. Have you attempted to press send?

3. have you tried other ways of sending it?

4. Have you asked anyone?

5. Have you close and started the message again?

Full Email • Santa is new to using his email.

• He is concerned about the number of emails he has received and he is running out of space.

• Explain what archiving is and how to do it.

• Describe what to do with Spam emails.

With spam email you can either delete, archive or report them to whoever you can.

• Describe what to do with unnecessary emails.

With unnecessary emails you can also report them to someone in the family or to someone have a look at or report to someone.

• Describe how you can archive messages.

You archive a message by selecting the messages and then clicking on ‘archive’.Saved you more space but of the messages are needed later on you can get them back with no hassle. An archive is a collection of computer files that have been packaged together for backup, to transport to some other location, for saving away from the computer so that more hard disk storage can be made available, or for some other purpose.

Because otherwise they can keep getting contact with you and could see your computer mess up quite a bit.
