REASON TO DEPLOY The Email Template Tool allows you easily build and test email templates, with a “what you see is what you get” HTML preview in a browser. Creating an HTML template takes time, and there isn’t an easy and fast way to test different variables. With this tool, you can see the email in HTML format, easily change the variables and quickly see the results in real-time!

CONFIGURATION OPTIONS Any Sailpoint object can be added to the email template replacement. Update the rule CDI-EmailTemplateTester. By default, we use Identity and Certification class. Custom Objects: provide sample data to your email template

Object class: is the SailPoint class.

ObjectEntryName: is the Name or ID of the vendor

VelocityElement: is the $attribute you want velocity to leverage

HOW TO USE You can control the screen size. By default, we try to display both the source and results on one monitor. But you can increase the size of each of these with a few simple clicks. Input is the email template code and Results are the html formatted content.

Select any email template in the system. Then click load into editor. If you need to go back, just reload into the editor. As long as you have not clicked the save button, the email template will remain unchanged. Custom object is where you can specify any set of data you want to be used in the template. The custom object must start with the word emailTemplate_. This is powerful, if you have issues with formatting for various users.
