Who we are
▪ Non-profit organisation funding emergency medicine research and its
translation
▪ Research funding and support for emergency clinicians in Queensland:
doctors, nurses, paramedics, retrieval staff, rural generalists and allied health
professionals
▪ Our focus: translation of research outcomes into practice for the benefits of
patients and research capacity building
OUR FUNDING PROGRAMS:
▪ Queensland Research Program: almost $18m to over 200 research grants,
$1.2m p.a. in research funding, 3 grant schemes, 2 grant rounds p.a.
▪ Special Funding Rounds
▪ Special Funding Round COVID-19: 5 projects funded
▪ Rural and Remote Research Program: 3 projects funded
▪ Trauma care in regional, rural and remote Queensland

How to get involved?
EMF funds only research conducted in Queensland, BUT:
▪ Collaborations for national or international projects: funding for the QLD arm,
also requests for study coordinator possible
▪ EMF can connect project leads with interested sites in Queensland
▪ Our reviewer pool includes many interstate experts
