The Emerging Artist Award Sponsored by the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts, Brock University.
The Emerging Artist Award is presented to two (2) emerging St. Catharines artists working in any discipline to celebrate current accomplishments and future potential. Emerging Artists are establishing careers in their field and are working to become recognized professional artists.
The Jury will consider nominees who are 18 years or older, who are based and active in St. Catharines.
The following criteria will be used to select award recipients:
• Artistic merit / interest • Evidence of commitment to artistic practice • Career path in artistic discipline • Critical acknowledgments of the artist’s work • Recognition by local arts community • Recipients will be selected from two different artistic disciplines

The 2017 Arts Awards Nominees will be announced in early spring.
