Throughout High School,
I’ve came to realize that
the most important thing is
to figure out who you really
are. You meet all kinds of
people; those who will be-
friend you, those who you
may dislike, and even
those who will end up hurt-
ing you. Through all the
people you come across,
each one will have some
sort of influence on you;
whether it be a good one
or a bad one. They may
determine the way you think, your morals, or even who you will associate
yourself with. These people will either change you or you may change
yourself to fit in with them. Though this may not be true for every high
schooler out there, from what I have witnessed it is true for a majority of
them. The best advice that I could give to the future classes at FHS is to
stay true to yourself. High school is meant to better prepare you for the
future, not change who you really are. Go through high school having a
good time, but don’t let the good times determine your future. Meet many
people, but wisely choose who you will keep close to you. But most im-
portantly, let yourself go and have a good time because once these days
are over, there’s no coming back.

The fact that humans even exist is so difficult for me to comprehend. Somehow,
along the journey of this universe, this planet, a tiny little life being was formed.
This life being developed into the antiquate and amazing human beings that we
are today. Cherish the life that you were blessed with. Someone, somehow brought
you into this world. You’re here for many reasons that you figure out along the way.
Don’t waste your life away, it’s too precious to give up.
Do everything you ever dreamed of, then when you’re
done living your dreams bring life to those who will live
their own. Have some great memories and make them
last! Live, laugh, love.

Meaning of Life P a g e 2 2 0 0 9 - 2 0 1 3
At such a young age, it is hard to
come up with my personal meaning
of life.
I’ve only had so many experiences
and learned so many lessons. I still
have so much more ahead of me.
But at age 18, this is my meaning of
life:
LIFE is short.
Break the RULES
FORGIVE quickly,
KISS slowly, LOVE truly,
LAUGH uncontrollably,
And NEVER REGRET
Anything that made you
SMILE.

Many of my friends and family have greatly influenced me
throughout high school, especially those who are pictured here.
However, I think my best friend Hannah (top right photo) has
had the most influence on me. I have known Hannah for the
past 5 years now, and from the time we first met we have been
attached at the hip. Anything that she or I decided to do, the oth-
er would join in. She influenced me to begin diving my freshman
year, and was even an influence on the people we hung out with.
I love Hannah to death and I wouldn’t change any of the times
that we had together! Thank you Hannah for everything!
I can easily describe myself as a sister. I have always been the
middle child of two older sisters and one younger. Times have
been rough being the middle child: always getting the hand-me-
downs, not getting as much attention, or not always getting treat-
ed as fair as another sibling. Even after all the hard times, I know
I will never stop loving the fact that I have three wonderful sis-
ters. They will all one day be my best friends who will be able to
relate to the hardships that I will face. They are a friend to talk to,
and a shoulder to cry on. I love them all so dearly and I thank
god for blessing me with them! I know my mom will be proud of
us when we are all able to finally come together with no fighting
or arguing. Thank you Kristen, Jessica, and Elizabeth; I love you
all!

Memories High school changes everyone, whether you re-
alize it or not. You either grow up and mature,
or you get caught up in the drama and teenage
life and lose control. From personal memories,
high school has brought out the older person in
me. I have matured a lot since freshman year
and I became a stronger individual and friend.
All of the mistakes I have made have shaped me
into the person I am today. I appreciate every-
one I have encountered and has helped me
along the way. I want to thank everyone for
their input even if they don’t realize they had
any.
My most memorable experience while in
high school has to be prom 2013. It was a
crazy day and night for me; all day I spent
getting ready and frustrated over my hair. I
never even had time to put my make up on!
My dress ended up ripping when I ran up
my stairs to get my jacket, but it was hardly
noticeable. I also regretted wearing heels.
But Benihana’s was a lot of fun, and really
cool to watch. I won’t ever forget the ador-
able pictures I took with my boyfriend. Alt-
hough prom itself wasn’t what I expected,
the before and after made it all worth while.
I will never forget May 11th, 2013!

Goals
My biggest triumph was overcoming the difficulty and fear of diving. Diving is a very tedious and hard sport
to learn; you must use all strengths of your body to do even the simplest of dives. I began my freshman year
when Hannah talked me into doing it with her. Most of the other kids in the sport have had previous years of
gymnastics, I however, did not. I was very inflexible and uncoordinated, but I began learning the sport very
quick. My coach, Kristy, had told me that I was very good for being only a beginner. She had told me many
times that I had great potential. I dove for FHS my whole freshman year, and even continued it on to dive
club during the Summer. In club diving, my coach had me dive three meter as well as one meter. Three meter
was a whole new experience for me. From the moment I jumped off the tall board until I hit the water, I felt
as if my heart would stop. After many months of learning this sport, I found myself growing weary and tired
of it. I would despise going to practice each and every day and I would find myself once again frightened to
do my dives. I found myself quitting before my sophomore year began. However, I found myself missing my
teammates and the way I felt when I jumped off the board and asked to join the team halfway through my
sophomore year season. I completed this season feeling great about myself, but did not find myself doing
club during that summer again. I did try and come back to the sport during my senior year, but could not
keep up with the amount of time and effort that this sport requires. I once again quit for the final time. I will
never forget the way my coach and team would help me feel when I was frightened, and the way I felt after
overcoming my fears. I had the most amazing years of my life on this team, they are all great people and I
thank them for everything they have done for me.
I’m am MORE than ready to get out of Fishers, Indiana. I have lived here my
entire life and I can almost say that I have been and done all that is here. Next
year I am going to the University of Southern Indiana and planning on meeting
a lot of new people. I may or may not study occupational therapy, but if I do I
hope to succeed in that. My life long dream is to become an artist, and sell my
work. Let’s see where I can get with that!
Another goal I have of mine
is to see the world. There is
so much beauty on this plan-
et, I feel restricted when I
am not out looking for it. I
want to see and paint what
beauty is still in this world
today, and in the future. I
hope to have amazing ad-
ventures to one day share
with a family of my own.

My Reflection on the Wide
World
9/11
The burning of the twin towers is the earliest world
crisis that many people of my generation will remember. I was
only in 1st grade, but it was a sad and devastating day for all
ages. The lives lost on this day will never be forgotten, and we
will always do our best to honor them as we have since the
attack. To this day it still makes me teary eyed when I watch,
read, or see something about the twin towers. May their lives
never be forgotten!
Hurricane Katrina
This is one of the worst hurri-
canes in history; it completely wiped out
New Orleans. I will always remember
watching the news and hearing about
this devastating event. It makes me feel
so great that many people devoted their
time to help clean and restore this city.
Lives were lost on this day and those
too will never be forgotten.
Sandy Hook Shooting
This is one of the most recent
world tragedies. Shooting occurred at an
elementary school, and resulted in young
children dead and teachers. The fact that
someone went and took the lives of inno-
cent kids really gets to me. They had so
much ahead of them and so much to live
for, and it was taken away in an instant.
This makes me question humanity. I pray
for these kids families and all that have
been deeply affected by this tragedy.

Time Capsule My high school yearbooks
I would include these because it shows
how I have changed each year, and what I
have involved myself in. It also reflects
the way our class was portrayed.
A picture of my family and friends
My family and friends have always been an im-
portance to myself. They have shaped who I have
become to this day. They have had a direct influence
on myself and I love them all dearly. I would like
them to be remembered just as much as myself.
My Iphone
The apple iphone has shaped today’s technology.
Almost everyone has one. It could be interesting
as to what the future will have compared to what
we have now. I use my iphone everyday and I
don’t know what I would do without it now.
A picture of all the pets I have owned
I love animals, and my pets have always been a big part
of my family life. I have lost some, and I have gained
some. But I will still always love them. I want them to
be remembered for a long as I will remember them.
A Cosmopolitan and Seventeen magazine
These magazines portray what our fashion styles
are like, and what our teen media influences are.
People of the future would be interested in look-
ing in an old magazine and comparing it to their
century.

Top 10 Favorite Songs
10. Human — The Killers
I used to listen to this song a
lot while in middle school so
that is why it is number 10, it got
old. But I really like the chorus
of this song, it says, “Are we hu-
man, or are we dancers?”
8. Little Talks — Of Monsters and
Men
This band is a newer one,
emerging onto the radio and pop
culture. I enjoy this song because
it’s easy to sing along to. I also en-
joy the lyrics.
9. Island in the Sun —
Weezer
I have always been a fan of this
90’s song, it puts me in a great
mood and keeps me moving to
the beat. Makes me imagine being
on an island.
7. Walking on a Dream — Empire
of the Sun
I will always love this song. The
lyrics, the beat, the vocals; all of it.
It is so true: “We are always run-
ning for the thrill of it.”
6. Imagine — John Lennon
These lyrics have always in-
spired me. John Lennon is such a
peace seeking man. I wish more
people could be like him.
5. Wish You Were Here — Pink
Floyd
This is a really good song to sit
down and listen to, even the whole
album is good. I enjoy Pink Floyd
because they are an older band, and
a different kind of music.
4. Skinny Love — Bon Iver
I don’t exactly know what it
is that I like about this song
the most, I love the vocals and
lyrics. It gets stuck in my head
a lot too!
3. Here Comes the Sun —
George Harrison
This song makes me so
