In 2008 Emirates Sky Cargo moved its operations into a 43,600-square-metre Cargo Mega Terminal, which has the capacity to process 1.2 million tonnes of cargo annually

Emirates Sky Cargo in 2014-15 carried a new record 2.4 million tonnes of cargo, an increase of 6% over the previous year.

As of 2014, Emirates Sky Cargo is the second largest cargo airline in terms of the total freight tonne-kilometres flown and the largest in terms of international freight tonne-kilometres flown
