A messAge from the Ceo

On behalf of the board and staff of the Carbon Market Institute, I invite you to partner with us for the 4th annual Australasian Emissions Reduction Summit - Australia’s premier climate change and business event.

Together with our sponsors and partners we have enjoyed tremendously successful events over the past few years, . In 2016 over 100 speakers from business and government connected with more than 480 delegates, providing key

insights into how business is positioning for economic growth in a low carbon world, and discussed the evolution of domestic and international policies required to meet emissions reduction goals.

In 2017 we will again include national and international leaders from government, business, technology and finance. We have been able to attract significant international keynote speakers such as Christiana Figueres, Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC, and Anote Tong, former President of the nation of Kiribati as well as the key Australian political and business playmakers.

The 4th Australasian Emissions Reduction Summit is set to be a bigger, more significant and more impactful event. The 2017 event will come at a time when the 2017 Climate Policy Review will be the key focus of national discourse. It will also be a time when regional carbon markets will be gearing up as the post Paris transition kicks in.

The Summit will again be a a high profile platform for knowledge exchange & commercial interaction. This sponsorship prospectus outlines the options for you to partner with us and includes options to input into the program, to present or moderate session, to run workshops, to exhibit, to attend VIP drinks and to host the Summit dinner.

I invite you to sponsor the event, be part of the program and position your company alongside those leading the transition to a low carbon economy in a post-Paris world.

Warm regards,

Peter CastellasChief Executive OfficerCarbon Market Institute

About the venue

Lord’s, Wembley, Old Trafford, Eden Gardens and Yankee Stadium are considered among the greatest sporting arenas in the world, but for history, pure drama and emotion, it’s hard to look past the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

the melbourne CriCKet ground

Olympic Room - Betty Cuthbert Lounge - Jim Stynes Rooms A & B

The ground was built way back in 1853 when the then 15-year-old Melbourne Cricket Club was forced by the government to move from its former site because the route of Australia’s first steam train was to

pass through the oval.

Since then the MCG has established a marvellous history that compares favourably with any other in the world, hosting the first-ever international cricket Test, the 1992 World Cup final and the 1956 Olympic Games

(let’s not forget the AFL Grand Final every year as well!).

Only minutes from the heart of the Melbourne CBD, the MCG boasts underground parking and easy-access public transport.

The ‘People’s Ground’ is famous for its world class concert and conference events, with exceptional facilities accommodating breathtaking views

of the hallowed turf and Melbourne city.
