Pet Collagesmagazine clipping portraits

Each portrait is a melding of fantasy and reality created through the collaging of hundreds of tiny magazine clip-pings.

I work hard to make sure that each portrait captures the personality of its subject, from ears to nose to eyes.

Additionally, each portrait is extroardinarily unique. Tiny hidden elements (butterflies, dinosaurs, you name

it) give the portraits a whimsical feel. Each time an owner studies the portrait, a new discovery is

made. It is a joy for me to combine two of my passions, portraiture and animals, and to see

the joy that my portraits bring to their owners.

Pet Piecesbranding

The challenge here was to create a warm, fun, and friendly logo that would appeal to dog owners.

The challenge was met with the friendly dog icon, which also illustrates the nature of the art.

Business cards, web site design, envelope, invoice, and packaging mimic

the design of the logo with the repetition of the ‘pieces’ as a design element.

Live For Todayfoundation

Live for Today is a nonprofit organization that provides young people living with cancer with fun

experiences, benefits, and fellowship. It encourages its members to focus on living, not cancer.

The challenge was to create a fresh, young brand

that young people could identify with, while remaning professional

enough to appeal to potential donors who are in an older

age demographic.

The solution was met through the use of a very sleek logo that incorporates meaning through the upside down cancer ribbon. Other branded items include the rack sheet which is placed

in cancer clinics, t-shirts, business cards,

koozies, and web design. All of the above successfully

garner the attention and interest of the target audience.

Adobe Adstype illustrations

These illustrations are created entirely of letters from the Bodoni font family. They were originally meant to illustrate scenes from the classic novel The Great Gatsby,

but were then transformed into ads for Adobe typefaces. The incredible graphic impact of the

illustrations allows for them to be used across a variety of platforms, from print ads, to posters,

to t-shirts. Taglines for the ads reflect the possibilities a designer has when working

with Adobe type.

For the Birds logo and packaging

The challenge was to create a brand that seemed to be made by the birds. The logo illustrates the bird-made feel of the brand through its use of twigs, sticks, and pine straw which create the letters of ‘birds.’ The bird-

made vibe is repeated througout the packaging, with important words encircled in a nest-like oval. The

bird is composed of straw-like lines that are borrowed from the logo.Another challenge was to differentiate

completely from already-existing birdseed manufacturers’ packaging, which is

unsightly and tacky. For the Birds pagaging successfully does so

through its unique, fun design.

Trending magazine

Trending is a magazine that gleans real-time information from social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, etc. The magazine’s content is thereby,

chosen by the people. Topics include the top

trending items for each month in fashion, news, fitness, home decor,

cooking, and entertainment.

Erica Brown Promotionssocial media consulting

The challenge was to create a young, fresh brand that would appeal to small business owners looking to expand their business through social media.

The young vibe is achieved through the logo’s clean and abstract nature. A modern, san serif typeface is used

in all media.

Since much of social media is now used on cell phones, it was appropriate to make the business

card into a die cut Apple iPhone featuring a photo of the business owner on the front

side and her information on the back.
