19. Clinical Service Contributions: Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) Implemented contrast-enhanced MRA for rapid assessment of the aorta carotids, renals

and the peripheral runoff vessels. Implemented quantitative flow for measuring pressure gradients in stenoses, measurement of carotid flow, measurement of aortic, tricuspid, and pulmonary regurgitation. Developed a vessel wall imaging protocol for evaluation of carotid plaques. Created a protocol for using coronary angiography to diagnose the proximal course of anomalous coronary arteries and veins.

Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging Implemented SSFP cine imaging for rapid breath-hold assessment of cardiac function.

Created a protocol for assessing patients with right ventricular (RV) dysplasia. Introduced a rapid, breath-hold, ECG-gated T2-weighted fast spin-echo sequence for high-resolution assessment of cardiac anatomy and edema. Implemented a multi-slice perfusion sequence for whole-heart assessment of myocardial perfusion defects. Developed a protocol for assessing myocardial viability using delayed-enhancement after Gd-DPTA injection. Developed a tagging protocol for assessing myocardial deformation.
