The Background Story

Empteezy UAE fze is part of a bigger family of companies which all started with, what was then a small company called Empteezy Ltd, based in Livingston, Scotland, UK back in 1986.

That company was then primarily focused on helping other companies to look after their environment, which in turn protected them under new legislation. Its values haven’t changed much. However, since then, that company grew to include representation in countries around the world, from Scotland to England, France, Belgium and Spain, to Hong Kong, and of course, Empteezy UAE fze right here on your doorstep in the United Arab Emirates.

From 2006, Empteezy UAE fze, based in Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah, has been supplying environmental safety and storage products to companies through the Gulf region. We provide our own manufactured products, and those from our trusted suppliers: Justrite Manufacturing Company LLC and Speakman Company of the USA, and Chemisafe of Italy.

Laboratory Cabinets and Accessories

Manufactured in Italy, Chemisafe® offers 90-minute Fire Rated

EN Cabinets, are a way to store hazardous liquids and materials

in a completely safe manner. The storage cabinets are certified

to EN 14770-1 which gives 90-minutes fire resistance. The

cabinets can be fitted with options of cooling units, fans and

carbon filters to maximize their safety. They can also be

supplied with internal or external automatic extinguishers. Units

are of a modular design and can be customized to fit within your

working area.

The Absorbents Manufacturing Process

Manufactured at our plant in France, the Empteezy Group offers

product–specific ranges of absorbents or spill kits for general use in

warehouses and laboratories, to specific uses in the oil and gas

industries, for example.

We can provide rolls, seals, cushions and pads for you to make up spill

kits directly suited to your customer, or we offer pre-made standard spill

kits for anywhere between 25ltr and 240ltr capacity absorption, plus our

specialist OPA90 Spill Kits with a capacity of 1000ltr. These come as

general maintenance, oil (hydrophobic), and/or chemical uses.

Spill Kits

Utilising our expertise in manufacturing absorbents and

putting spill kits together, Empteezy UAE fze offers a

range of spill kits which include compact Body Fluid Spill

Kits and Mercury Spill Kits, ideal for those working in

laboratories and in the healthcare sector.

Additionally, we can provide bigger spill kits more suited

for industrial uses. These are comprised of our range of

absorbent products, for example, booms, cushions and

pads and can be custom-made to suit the application. We

offer products for these applications: hydrophobic (repels

water); general purpose; and chemical.

Berms

Berms are quite a new, unique product range which we offer from Justrite®. They are a portable solution to capture

spills that may arise through everyday activity and unexpected leakage. They also provide a temporary storage

solution for hazardous chemicals, oils and/or paints. Normally manufactured from a PVC coated fabric, this range

comes with the patented rigid lock deployment, that provides support to the installation. Easily cleaned down for

re-use at a later stage, berms are particularly useful for emergency deployment due to their quick and easy set-up

with no assembly required. Simply fold-out the berm over the designated area and you have an instantly usable

workspace.

Containment Booms

Permanent Booms are robust and hard-wearing

with foam-filled HDPE (high density polyethylene)

floats providing flexibility in the boom. Permanent

booms can contain not only hydrocarbons, but

floating waste as well, making them ideal for use

in harbours and coastal locations.

Fence Booms are lightweight and easy to use,

these portable booms take up little storage space.

The booms are portable, can be stored on a reel

and are good for shallow areas, rather than deep

sea deployment.

Air Booms are more suitable for open waters due

to their buoyancy. These booms are easy to

transport, often by air, to the location of the spill.

Manufactured from Polyurethane and Neoprene.

Permanent Booms are UV resistant. They are

quick to set up and easy to deploy. Manufactured

from PVC or natural rubber with variable drafts.

From our manufacturing plant in Scotland, UK, Empteezy UAE

fze offers storage units, ideally suited for outside placement.

Made from 100% recycled polyethylene, the units are robust and

able to withstand temperatures. They come as fully lockable with

a shutter door and are delivered pre-assembled.

Units can store 2 and/or 4 x 205ltr drums, or small containers.

They have an internal sump to stop any overspill and

contamination that may occur.

Polyethylene Sump Flooring and Sump Pallets

Due to their durability and suitability for storing a number of chemicals and oils,

polyethylene spill containment products are the perfect medium to service your

storage requirements.

Sump pallets and flooring come with a removable mesh grid for easy cleaning.

Units are rotationally-moulded using medium density polyethylene with UV filters.

They are lightweight, durable and

chemical resistant.

Recent addition to the range in-

cludes our new 2-drum and

4-drum, 4-way entry for pallet

trucks.

Flammable Safety Cabinets

As master distributor for Justrite® in the United Arab

Emirates, Empteezy UAE fze is well-placed to bring

you a comprehensive range of safety cans and

cabinets. We also carry stock of some of the more

popular items at our warehouse in Sharjah.

Products include cabinets with vents for

circulating air, ideal for storing

hazardous substances. They have an

internationally recognised standard of

fire-rating, and come with either

self-close or manual close doors,

depending on your requirements.

Cabinets can be earthed to combat any

anti-static and are coated using a

chemical resistant, lead free powder

coat finish. Additionally, cabinets have

a Justrite Limited 10 year warranty.

Best practice promotes the use of

safety and cans and containers which

are designed to fit within the Justrite

cabinet range.

non-metallic cans and containers from Justrite®,

provides you with an ideal solution to store

dangerous chemicals and liquids.

The HPLC range come with various options in-

cluding a unique quick-disconnect system that

prevents leakage and vapour release.

Additionally filters can be fitted which allow

odours to be minimised by capturing 99% of

liquid particulates.

Justrite® also offer a variety of cans and con-

tainers manufactured from steel. These include

oily waste cans, ideal for the disposal of soiled

rags and cloths. Oily waste cans come complete

with a 10-year guarantee, a handle for portabil-

ity, and are 100% leak tested to give you peace

of mind.

Steel safety cans give you a safe way of storing

and dispensing flammables due to their patented

system for precise pouring. They are fully

compliant with US and international safety

regulations.

Laboratory Safety Showers and Eye-Wash Units

With an assortment of products directly suited to looking after the safety of any

of your employees working with hazardous substances, Speakman® showers

and eye-wash units are a necessity in your workplace.

Safety showers can be plumbed, or purchased as portable units. Portable units

are particularly suitable for places where there is no access to a potable water

source as they do not need to plumbing. Showers can be offered with a

hands-free foot treadle option for a direct deluge of water.

Emergency eye wash stations are a quick

way to flush out any harmful chemicals or

solvents from the infected area. The

impellor action of the flow, softens the

water and provides an effective drench for

the eyes.

Showers can be ordered as combination

units to include a basin and eye wash

station. Basins come in both stainless

steel or ABS plastic, which are specified

relevant to your application.

A pull-down lever on the

shower unit offers a fast and

safe way to activate the

water flow, ensuring that a

wash down is achieved

within time critical moments.

Flow Rate: 75.7lpm (16.65 Imperial gal/

Shower head: Polished stainless steel.

All wetted parts manufactured from non-

ferrous material.

Test activation handle fitted outside the

Tank showers are of use where constant water supply

or adequate water pressure is available and provides

a guaranteed 15-minutes of water flow.

The tank shower can be fitted with a high/low

temperature indicator and has a water level indicator.

A light illuminates the shower area and comes

complete with an activation sensor. The shower is

activated by a plate foot treadle making it suitable for

emergency situations, where a complete wash-down

is required. An eye wash system is included and can

hold a plastic or stainless steel bowl.

Launching this year in the Middle East, tank showers are an Empteezy product

manufactured at the head office plant in Scotland, utilising market-leading ANSI

standard fixtures and fitments to exceed the expected flow rate.

Made in Scotland, Drum and IBC secure storage allows you to store drums and

IBCs in a self-contained workplace within your area. The units can be customised

to suit your specific requirements. They can be fitted with lights for example, or

electric sockets, vents, sumps, and/or extraction filters.
