Device descriptionThe primary purpose of the device is room cooling. Moreover, thedevice also provides the opportunity of air circulation withoutcooling effect.Operating the device is effected via the control panel (1) at thedevice. The device is an air conditioner with split cooling circuits. Therefrigerant circuit of the basic device (2) is self-contained. For thedissipation of warmth it is emitted via a heat exchanger to asecond cooling circuit. A second circuit transports warmedwater / glycol mixture to the external heat exchanger (7) to cool itdown again. The unit cools the room air by withdrawing warmth. Therefrigerant cools down the air coming from the room and in doingso absorbs the heat. The thusly cooled air is introduced to theroom, where the device is positioned, via the fan. Accumulating condensate is discharged via a separatehose (3, 11) to the external heat exchanger in order to evaporatethere.

Maintenance on page 8.• Check the minimum distance to walls or other objects.

Position the device a little more in the room's centre, ifrequired.

• Check whether there are opened windows and/or doors ofthe room. Close these, if any.

• Check the temperature setting at the device. Reduce the settemperature, if it is higher than the room temperature.

The warning message PumP is displayed:• Check the condensation hose leading to the external heat

exchanger for proper fit.• The device automatically performs a reset.

The warning message HIPS is displayed:• Check the connection lines leading to the external heat

exchanger for proper fit.• Check the filling level of the water tank. • Check whether the fan of the external heat exchanger is

working properly. If necessary, have the fan inspected orexchanged by a specialist company for cooling andair-conditioning.

• Observe the operating temperature range of +10 °C to+30 °C.

• Actuate the reset button (22), when the problem has beenresolved.

The warning message LOPS is displayed:• The device automatically performs a reset.• Check the air filter for dirt. If required, clean the air filter (see

chapter Maintenance on page 8).• Have the device checked for leakage by a specialist company

for cooling and air-conditioning.

The device is loud or vibrates; condensate is leaking:• Check whether the device is standing upright and on an even

surface.

The device gets very warm, is loud or is losing performance:• Check the air inlets and air filter are not dirty. Remove

external dirt.• Check the inside of the device and especially the fan, the fan

housing, the evaporator and the compressor for external dirt(see chapter Maintenance on page 8). If the inside of thedevice is dirty, have it cleaned by a specialist company forcooling and air-conditioning or by Trotec.

Your device still does not operate correctly after thesechecks? Bring the device to a specialist company for cooling andair-conditioning or to Trotec for repair.
