Digital Photogrammetry - the Smart Way

Orbit Strabo comes as extension to Orbit GIS and has access to all standard GIS functionalities available in the Orbit GIS products, allowing the user much more productivity and interactive power.

Your photogrammetric results are automatically enabled within a network/internet enabled GIS environment. Also publishing these photogrammetric data into the Orbit asset inventory module for mobile mapping is part of this wide Orbit product range.

Strabo Project Manager

In Strabo, photogrammetric work is organized in projects. The project manager bundles all information on a project in a singlefile. You can easily start or edit a stereoproject: import photo images, camera settings, and external orientation. A UAV data importer is included. Individual EO parameters, photo settings, strip and modeloverlap, etc. can be edited. An overview of the photo locations is presented in the Orbit GIS map view.

Scanned imagery as well as all digital camera based imagery is supported (e.g. Vexcell, DMC, Visionmap A3). The Project Manager also manages the access of photo data in multiresolution formats and central access on the server.

orbit Stereo

Orbit Stereo allows stereoviewing and editing in Anaglyph, StereoGraphics® and Strabox® mode. The Anaglyph mode runs on every desktop without hardware requirements : it only requires cyan-red colored glasses

The use of an EOS system (Enterprise Orbit Server) extended with the Orbit Stereo Publisher allows people to share a single project in real-time, making Strabo a client-server and internet based production environment

orbit SoftcoPy: giS-baSed edit toolS in Stereo

For registration of data, Orbit Softcopy uses the editing tools of Orbit GIS Interactive, making both GIS and Photogrammetry quite simple, intuitive and similar to operate. Registration of vector objects, adding construction points and lines, or editing created objects can be easily done in 3D stereo.

Softcopy is operated with a standard system mouse or specialized 3D mouse to control position and function keys to register data. The integration with Orbit GIS gives access to all interactive editing tools for post-processing and management. All features of Strabo Stereo Viewer are included.

autoMatic triangulation

The Automatic Tiepoint Detection and Matching procedure feeds a project with the necessary corresponding image points to finally perform a Bundle Block Adjustment. The procedure is supported with automated blunder detection tools. A report print out of the BBA results is available.

deM and breaklineS

The DEM tool allows for manual and automatic creation of a DTM point cloud wherein breaklines as a 3D polyline dataset can be added to build up a high-dense and accurate DEM or TIN. 3D textured images can be added.

voluMe calculator and orthorectification

Based on the DEM, an automatic volume calculation or orthorectification can be done. The orthorectification tool rectifies each photo using the specified TIN model and Breaklines dataset. Mosaïcing can be executed using the Mosaïc Editor supported with an automatic cutlines engine & and color balancing procedures. A push the button true Ortho maker is also available. Automatic Contour Creation can be executed from the TIN model and Breaklines set.
