The FUTEBOL project has established research facilities in both Europe and Brazil to advance research and innovation on the convergence point of wireless-optical telecommunication networks.
The FUTEBOL Control Framework (CF) is a software toolkit that integrates the provisioning, control, and orchestration of experiments across wireless, optical, and fog/cloud domains.
Each experiment can choose a subset of the available resources and tools, depending on experiment requirements and the capabilities deployed by each testbed.
Conclusion
Through the FUTEBOL CF we are able to orchestrate heterogeneous wireless, optical, fog/cloud resources in a flexible and coordinated manner, enabling complex experimentation setups to the main challenges in telecommunication networks.
