All Levels, No experience required WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: This 4 hour class will provide an overview of the Photo Encaustic techniques and processes. Demonstrations will include: Composition, basic methods for gluing photographs, photocopies, drawings, fabric, and transferring images onto a primed wood boards with adhesives, such as contact cement or archival glues. Once the adhesive has dried the image is enhanced with graphite, charcoal and oil pastels and finally a layer of encaustic is then applied over the paper and fused. This is an opportunity to create one-of-a-kind works of art with your personal narrative, photographs and mixed media.
