"Enchanted April": What happens when you take two unhappy housewives, add a "lady of the evening" and a

pompous older woman and send them on a journey together? It all begins with Lotty and Rose finding each

other in a lonely, unhappy place in their marriage..they need to get away...but how, and how will they tell their

very hovering husbands they need to get away...and to Italy of all places...They don't!! But the villa is far too

expensive for the two of them, so enter Lady Caroline and Mrs. Graves. These four ladies couldn't be more

different, yet so very similar. Mr. Antony Wilding, and his trusted and vivacious house keeper, Costanza has

just the place for them: his getaway home in Italy. There they find peace among the wisteria and sunshine.

Although not at first, as they get to know one another's habits and lifestyles..one can only imagine...but then,

thoughts of their husbands come and soon after, Mellersh Wilton and Frederick Arnott arrive to see just what

their wives have been up to. Can the Arnotts and the Wiltons find love once again among the beautiful Italian

seaside, with its gardens of wisteria, syringa and jessimine? Is Lady Caroline to spend the rest of her young

life in an empty shell, never knowing what could have been? And Mrs. Graves, will she soften around the

warmth of the sunshine or forever anguish with only the stories of long past poets? Only the terraces of

Sherry Ingbritsen: Director, Sound and Light Tech Sherry is so thrilled to be working with these extremely talented ladies and gentlemen. From the very start, despite a few early bumps with casting, they were professional, energetic and ready for this challenge. They have made my job as a director so easy, and the best part was listening to them "work on" their Italian accents. Sherry has been an active director for new dawn for years now and enjoys this aspect of theater. She has directed such shows as "Pride And Prejudice", "Murder On The Nile", "The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial" and many others. She most recently had the honor of seeing her own script being produced at Christmas time by New Dawn: "A Not So Silent Night". She is already working on a comedy for down the road. Sherry also loves being on stage, and has been seen in such roles as Blanche in "A Streetcar Named Desire", Veta in "Harvey", Marie Lloyd in "Box, Cox and Props" and Donna Kucia in "Charley's Aunt". Sherry is very passionate about theater and especially about her family here at New Dawn. She wishes to thank her husband Paul for all he endures for her theater dream and all he does for new dawn. She also sends her love to her kids Ronnie (living in Alabama), Jacob (preparing for his 3rd deployment overseas) and daughter Amanda, as well as, her 4 grandchildren; Colton, Leann, Emily and Aaliyah. “Enchanted April” Cast of Characters

Ashley Jones, Lotty Wilton: Ashley is excited to return to the New Dawn

stage and take on the "particular challenge" that is the character of Lotty

Wilton! Ashley has previously been seen at New Dawn as Violet Sheridan

(Sherlock Holmes' daughter) in "Sherlock's Veiled Secret", Ann Deever in

"All My Sons", and playing her dream role of Elizabeth Bennet in "Pride &

Prejudice". Ashley would like to thank director Sherry Ingbritsen, as well as

the cast and crew, for making this show such a wonderful experience. She

would also like to thank her family and friends for their unconditional love

and support!

Steven Miller, Mellersh Wilton: Steven has appeared in this venue in the

last one and half years in Live Arts Theatre’s “Don’t Drink the Water” (using

a New Yawk/New Joisey accent) and New Dawn Theater’s “Run for Your

Wife” (with a lower-class London accent). Since then, he has used a variety

of accents in Live Arts Theatre’s musical revue “Secrets Every Smart

Traveler Should Know” (including French, British, and Southern); no accent

at all in Georgia Ensemble Theatre’s “The Man Who Came to Dinner” (since

no lines!); and a Russian accent in Lionheart Theatre’s “Fiddler On The

Roof”. It’s fun being back as a tony British lawyer this time around!

Sharon Cagle, Rose Arnott: Sharon last appeared on our stage as

Clemmie in “Seeing Stars in Dixie” for which she received a Broadway

World Atlanta nomination as Best Actress. She is excited to once again take

the stage in “Enchanted April”, having played the role of Costanza in a past

performance. Favorite roles include Rose Benjamin in “God’s Favorite”,

Maggie in “The Women” and Lillian Gilbraith in “Cheaper by the Dozen”.

Sharon resides in Lawrenceville with her cocker spaniels, Buster and

Cooper. Phil 4:13 “Al Italia!”

Doug Isbecque, Frederick Arnott: This is Doug’s 3rd show at New Dawn.

After a 25 year hiatus, he returned to acting last year, portraying Steward in

“Murder On the Nile” and Mr. KIRBY in “You Can’t Take It With You”. In his

younger days he pursued an acting career in NYC with numerous film and TV

credits, including Another World, Guiding Light, As the World Turns, Mike

Hammer, the Equalizer, Cadillac Man, the Pickup Artist, and the cult classic ,

The Toxic Avenger as well as numerous TV Commercials. Since then he got

married and raised 2 wonderful boys and became successful in software sales.

Thanks again to New Dawn for the opportunity to work with such a talented

cast. Nothing compares to performing in front of a live audience.

Marla Krohn, Mrs. Graves: Marla has been performing in theater

for over 25 years. This is Marla's 8th production with New Dawn. Her

favorite parts are..Miss Ffolliott Ffoulkes, Frytania and Det. Troughton.

Marla would like to thank Sherry for her guidance and direction; she is

such a Blessing. In her free time Marla is a speech and drama teacher as

well as a sales rep in her family's business. All this keeps her busy while

her son is away at college at NYU. Enjoy the "Enchantment and have a

nut or two".

Katie Tucker, Lady Caroline Bramble: Katie grew up in Northwest

Indiana, and relocated to Georgia in the summer of 2010. She currently

resides in Duluth. She graduated in 2009 from Purdue University with a

Bachelor of Liberal Studies. This is her debut with New Dawn Theater

Company. She is very thankful to Sherry for the opportunity, and to have

met and worked with such amazing people! Past roles have included:

Wicked Witch in “The Wizard of Oz”, Audrey in “Little Shop of Horrors”,

Anne in “The Diary of Anne Frank”, and roles in “Footloose”, “The Sound

of Music”, “As You Like It”, and “South Pacific”. In her free time, she

enjoys reading, playing the piano, learning to play the violin, and spending

time with her boyfriend and “daughter”, Chloe (her dog). She thanks all her

friends and family for their support!

Theresa Kelly, Costanza: This is my 5th show with New Dawn Theater.

Past shows that I have performed in are "Miracle on 34th Street",

"Sherlock's Veiled Secret", "Cheaper by The Dozen" ,and “Seeing Stars in

Dixie". I have worked the New Dawn Drama Camp for children for the

past 3 summers. The artistic director Sherry, has given me the opportunity

to stage manage a couple of shows the latest one being "A Not So Silent

Night". It has given me a whole new appreciation for theater and what all

goes into a performance behind the scenes. I would like to dedicate my

role as Costanza to my family from Reggio del Calabria ,for they have had

such an impact in my life.

Jay Croft, Antony Wilding: Jay is excited to be on New Dawn's stage

once again. Last year he received Best Actor nominations by the

Broadway World Atlanta Awards for his roles as Barney Greenwald in

"The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial" and as Mr. De Pinna in "You Can't

Take It With You", both New Dawn productions. Jay would like to thank

Sherry for casting him in this delightful play and for the opportunity to

speak with an Italian accent. He would also like to thank his wife Tammy

for letting him onto the stage.

Chuck Mason, Assistant Director: Well this time I really opened

my mouth when I should have been listening I guess. I told Sherry

when she had the cast all made up if she needed some help in any way

to let me know. Well a week or so later she said, “You remember what

you said?”, well here I am being her AD. This time I am not on stage

and I love what I am doing. What a great cast she has put together,

and I am sure you are going to enjoy this play. Everyone is doing such

a great job and the play is great. Thanks to Sherry for asking me to

help, but with a group like this, it is one of the easiest tasks that I have

ever done. If this is your first time, welcome to our theater, and we

hope you will make yourself at home and enjoy. If you have been here

before, thank you for coming back and supporting New Dawn

Theater....without you we would be nothing....thank you.

Debbie Bush, Stage Manager: A native of Virginia, I began on stage

as a four year old dancer. Dancing continued to be my stage presence

throughout high school. When I went to college, I performed with the

Highty-Tighties Regimental Band of Virginia Tech. The highlight being

the performance at the halftime of the Redskins-Cowboys game. I

started a Drama/Puppetry Club at Chattahoochee Elementary School in

1999. Some of our performances were "The Wonderful Wizard of

Oz" and "Pinocchio." Personally, I have performed in several plays at

the New Dawn Theater, including "It's a Wonderful Life", "A Candle in

the Window" and "Miracle on 34th Street." This will be my first time as

stage manager and I thank Sherry for the opportunity of learning more

aspects of the theater. Enjoy the show!

Paul Ingbritsen, Set Builder, Lights/Sound Tech, & Stage

Assistant: Paul is happy working on yet another set for new dawn.

Since starting his efforts with them, he has lost track of how many he has

actually built and designed. Paul is an award winning set designer and is

completely self taught. He says its in the genes since he and his dad used

to spend a lot of time in the garage on woodworking projects, and his

mother is a wonderful artist. Paul says the best part of building a set is

seeing the cast roaming around on a finished set and see the "mood"

come to life. When not working on builds, Paul serves on the board as

their treasurer and is the facility manager for the theater, keeping things

working and moving smoothly. Paul has been happily married to Sherry

for almost 29 years, has raised 3 beautiful children and now has 4

wonderful grandkids. He, like the rest of New Dawn, thank you for your

patronage and support of our theater and welcome any ideas to make

"your" theater home even better.

New Dawn Theater Company Board Members Sherry J. Ingbritsen, President / Artistic Director: Sherry’s love for theater began at a very early age when she was able to

participate in church Christmas Pageants and school plays. She was hooked when she was given the role of Cassandra in a HS

production of “Trojan Women”. After a long break of career and raising her family, she became involved with theater again.

For the last 15 years, Sherry has been consistently involved in the theater. From working with another group, and then to

forming New Dawn. She has been seen in roles such as Ouiser in “Steel Magnolias”, Chick in “Crimes of the Heart”, Veta

Simmons in “Harvey”, Martha Brewster in “Arsenic and Old Lace”, and Blanche in “Streetcar Named Desire”. (Yes a definite

pattern of psycho roles). Sherry has also enjoyed directing several shows, such as “Seven Year Itch”, “A Few Good Men, “A

Little Princess”, “Alice in Wonderland”, “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and The Three Musketeers”. She has also

directed the last several Christmas productions (“Yes, Virginia”, “It’s a Wonderful Life”, “A Christmas Story” and “Miracle

on 34th Street”). Sherry also added playwright to her resume, “A Not So Silent Night”, which New Dawn produced this past

Christmas. She is a founding member of the New Dawn Theater Company and currently serves as its President / Artistic

Director. When Sherry is not doing theater she enjoys spending time with her loving husband Paul of 28 years, and 3 beautiful

children: Ronnie, age 33, Jacob age 27, and Amanda, age 26, along with her grandchildren: new granddaughter Aaliyah 5

months, Colton age 8, Leann age 5, and Emily age 4. She wishes to thank them all for all the years of love and support during

show times, and everyday life. She hopes you will continue to support the theater and will come and enjoy our many planned

future productions. Chuck Mason, Vice President: Chuck got into acting strictly by accident two Christmases ago, when Sherry needed someone

to play Father Michael in “Yes, Virginia there is a Santa Claus”. Chuck has also portrayed Capt. Issac Whitaker in “A Few

Good Men”, wheelchair bound Tom Carrisford in “A Little Princess”, shared the roll of Sir Francis in “Charley’s Aunt”, Henry

Potter in “It's A Wonderful Life”, one of his favorites, Teddy Brewster in “Arsenic and Old Lace”. This past Summer he

played the Sherriff in “A Bad Year for Tomatoes” at the Aurora at the Festival with County Seat Players, and the King of

Hearts in “Alice in Wonderland”, and appeared in “The Dining Room” with County Seat Players. Chuck has also done a

video for Georgia Gwinnett College and two radio Bible shows for children. Chuck also serves on the Mayor of Duluth's Big

Mac Advisory Council. Paul Ingbritsen, Treasurer: Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in Physical Education and a minor in Kinesiology,

Biology and Anatomy from St. Olaf College, MN. A transplant from Philadelphia in 1993, Paul has come to enjoy life here in

Georgia. He has worked in the construction technology and information industry for 18 years and is currently available for

employment and is open to any challenges. He enjoys working with his hands on the set builds and is adept at working with

power tools and designing intricate sets that move with the scenes and are beautiful to look at. Paul also is responsible for

building New Dawn’s website, having spent many hours processing information to make the site user friendly. He was also a

major player in the rebuild / refurbish of our theater, spending many weeks working on building walls, lights, painting and

remodeling. (A Jack of All Trades). When not in his studio at the theater building sets, Paul loves to golf and be outdoors,

having taken up camping once again after many years. He is a father to three beautiful children (Ronnie 34, Jake 27, Amanda

26) and Pop-pop to three grandchildren (Aaliyah 5 months, Colton 8, Leann 5, Emily 4). Paul has been married to his wife

Sherry for an amazing 28 years. Paul, through urging of his wife, has enjoyed becoming involved with the theater, not only as

its builder, but as a board member and lover of theater. (even having ventured once onto the stage). He hopes you will all

support New Dawn and their efforts to bring drama and life in Gwinnett. John Laszlo, Public Relations Liaison: John is retired from the public sector after providing 30 years of generally civil

service. He grew up in Pennsylvania and grew older in Georgia. He began acting four years ago with the Roswell Rambler's

More or Less Players, a group honored by the Georgia Recreation and Park Association for innovative programs for seniors.

After teaching and encouragement from Leslie Kelley of Rising Stars Productions, he auditioned for 'Our Town' at Lionheart

Theatre. Though Professor Willard is not typically acted as a comical character, Director Joanie McElroy took a chance and

provided support throughout the play. She later cast him as Ben in Arthur Miller's 'Death of A Salesman.' Jenny Scher of Rising

Stars Productions directed him in playing six characters in 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' at Kudzu Playhouse. John

learned the deeper meaning of the phrase 'anything can happen' as he picked young children from the audience to be dwarfs in

the play. A highlight of each performance was negotiation with the young volunteers to give back their dwarf hats. A

willingness to play barnyard animals led to parts in 'Little Bo Peep,' and the 'Velveteen Rabbit' at the Red Clay Theater. At

New Dawn Theater he has continued to appear in Rising Stars Productions such as 'The Little Mermaid,' 'Night Before

Christmas' and 'Trapunzeled.' He co-authored the Rising Stars Production 'Snow White's Birthday Surprises' with his wife

Sandy and they appeared in the play as the Evil Queen and the Magic Mirror. At New Dawn he has appeared in 'Miracle on

34th Street,' 'Cheaper by the Dozen,' 'The Canterville Ghost,' 'Pride and Prejudice,' Dad's Christmas Miracle,'and Murder on the

Nile' all ably directed by Sherry. The friendly, supportive, yet challenging atmosphere of New Dawn Theater contributes to the

genuine enjoyment of being part of activities here. John hopes to contribute to the Board in a way that expand the impact of the

theater on the life of the community.

Karyn West, Recorder: Karyn, born and raised here in Atlanta, became involved with New Dawn when her daughter was

cast in Alice In Wonderland. She became part of that backstage crew and never left. She has been in many productions,

but two favorites are “The Three Musketeers” and “Sleeping Beauty”, which she received a nomination for best actress award

in Broadway World Atlanta. Karyn's first experience with acting began during her high school years, with her church's drama

group. During the day Karyn loves being a preschool teacher and her hobbies include photography and making memory

books. New Dawn is a second family and would like to encourage you to join us. We are always looking for new talent and

& Constitution. She started her photography career in Denver, Co. working for UPI, shooting pro-sports and news. She did

internships with The Rocky Mountain News, The Colorado Springs Gazette Telegraph, The Grand Rapids Press and

Muskegon Chronicle in Michigan, before working full time for The Center Daily Times in State College, PA, then the Herald

Sun in Durham, N.C. Now she is a stay at home mom, but she does do some freelance photography.

Beth Peters, Programs: Beth is a busy mother of five children, Katie (22) and her son in-law Mark LoCasto, Kari (20), Kali

(18), Abby (13), George (11), and she became the proud grandmother of Joe LoCasto 1 year ago. She says “There is nothing

better than being a Grandmommy!” Beth works as the Administrative Assistant by day and in her spare time, she is a Certified

Psychic, Medium, Empath and Intuitive Coach. She graduated from Sandy Anastasi Psychic Development Studies giving her

a the ability to do readings for the public. Also she’s an artist selling her painted originals to the community

artist. She loves the chance to act with her son George Peters whenever she can. Beth’s passion lives within the arts!

Theresa Kelly, Choreographer: Theresa Kelly is a retired musical theater choreographer and international ballroom dance

instructor. Theresa started her dance and theater career in the 1960s, where she trained in classical ballet, tap and jazz with The

Huntsville Ballet Company in Huntsville, Alabama, her hometown. As a child, she was a regular on a syndicated children’s’

program, “Romper Room”, and appeared as a guest star on “Captain Kangaroo”. From this came her interest in live theater and

she joined a local theater company (Community Chorus). Theresa trained with the Martha Graham Dance Studio (NYC) and

The Fred Astaire Dance Studio (NYC). She also trained in voice and studied music. She has been in numerous musicals such

as, “Guys and Dolls”, “The Music Man”, “A Chorus Line”, “Anything Goes, Celebration”, “Crazy for You” and “Plaza Suite”.

Theresa made an appearance on the “Merv Griffin Show” and landed a small role in the television series “Dallas”. She also

appeared in a medical documentary for the Vanderbilt University Medical School (Nashville, TN). She left New York and

moved to Dallas, Texas where she helped open a new Fred Astaire Dance Studio. While living in Dallas, Theresa attended

Texas Medical College. She became employed with a local hospital working as a surgical scrub nurse. It was there where she

met her husband who was completing his surgical rotation during his residency. Moving to Atlanta to practice medicine, she

got back into theater as a dance choreographer and began working with local heater groups and local high schools. She has

choreographed musicals such as “Music Man”, “Hello Dolly”, “Oklahoma”, “Sweet Charity”, and “Bye Bye Birdie”. At the

New Dawn Theater Company, she has appeared in “Miracle on 34th Street” and “Sherlock’s Veiled Secrets”. She is delighted to

be a part of the New Dawn Family and hopes that people will continue to support live theater. Theresa resides in Duluth, GA

with her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Lisa Cox, Costume Mistress: Lisa is a busy mom of three children. Cameron 17, Jordan 14 and Hope 12 years old. She is a

stay at home mom and a seamstress. She spends her time volunteering for her church and making costumes for the theater. She

got started in the theater when her son Cameron performed in “The Three Musketeers". She and her three children performed in

"Miracle on 34th Street" and from that she took a huge interest in the designing of costuming. She recently designed Sir Simons

Costumes in "The Canterville Ghost" and the river and stone scene in "Arabian Nights". I hope you enjoy our theater and will

come and join us again.

Sandy Laszlo, Hospitality Manager: Sandy is a retired attorney who saw many “theatrical” performances in her former job as

a legislative counsel to members of the Georgia General Assembly. She is originally from Pennsylvania, but moved to Georgia

over 40 years ago when her husband, John, was invited by the U.S. Army to spend some time at Fort Benning. Since retiring

Sandy has been active in theatrical productions with the Roswell Rambler’s More Or Less Players. In 2012, she and John

wrote a children’s play, “Snow White’s Birthday Surprises,” which was produced and directed by Jenny Scher and Leslie

Kelley of Rising Stars Productions and performed at New Dawn Theater. She has also written and performed in a number of

comedy routines. Sandy is looking forward to working with the other members of the New Dawn Board and spreading the

word about this terrific theater company.

Tim Link, Associate Board Member: Tim came to Atlanta in 1978 from Santa

Barbara, CA and never looked back. Tim has three daughters: Carrie Underwood

lives in Chicago with her husband Ben; Kelsey teaches middle school for Fulton

County, and Jamie is a student at UGA. In 2005 Jamie, Tim's youngest daughter,

told him at dinner, "Dad, we open Footloose in two weeks, and we need a coach".

The director checked Tim's pulse and said, "Stand over there." That was the start of

it. Since then, Tim has been in a dozen plays, designed and built sets, and has even

tried a little directing. Tim has found some very special friendships in the theater

community, and is fond of telling his old friends that Acting is the new Tennis.

2013 Fundraising Campaign New Dawn Theater Company is a 501c3 non profit Community Theater Company located in the Downtown Historic area of Duluth, GA. We have been at this location for 5 strong years and our following throughout these years has grown to great heights. Our mission is to bring Quality Theater to the Metro Atlanta and surrounding areas. Our goal is to build a community relationship within the county and surrounding areas that will allow people from all walks of life to discover their inner child and outward adult. Our main goal is to put Fine Arts back in the lives of people of all ages, to let them flourish and realize an untapped / unknown potential. To allow their creative thinking, positive mental attitudes and dramatic performance skills to come to light. We believe a community that allows it self to fulfill a dream or a destiny, is a community that can reach beyond the stars. In the last 10 years we have dedicated long hours, sweat equity and personal sacrifice to provide quality family entertainment. As many of you know community theaters strive to be as independent as possible, mainly relying on ticket sales, gracious donations in order to put on fantastic productions and keep the doors open.
