Enclosed is a "flyer" I have prepared. Will you run it in your newsletters? Do you have any suggestions for marketing the books? WOULD THE STUDEBAKER FAMILY ASSOCIATION BE INTERESTED IN PUBLISHING THE MATERIAL??

The reason I "settled for" Heritage Books, Inc.: I have very limited resources and can't afford to have 100 or 500 or 1000 copies printed and then wait for orders to come in. Heritage Books assumes all the expense -- if there are enough orders. (Of course they own the book, too.)

I'm so proud of my Frantz ancestors, and their families! There is a remarkable number of OGBB and Church of the Brethren members that have continued for over 200 years in the "faith of their fathers." If not OGBB, or Ch-B, they are christians in other denominations. This marvelous heritage needs to be avail-able to descendants who may not know the depth and breadth of their roots, and available to those that know and want to pick up a book and read details about collateral families.

Again I say: "I'm so proud of my Frantz ancestors, and their families!" I wasn't raised OGBB or Ch.B. My Frantz grand-parents were the last to serve as Brethren. (My parents were agnostics but I "loved Jesus" from early childhood and attended Sunday School at a neighborhood church. As an adult, I've main-ly attended Baptist churches.) I didn't know my rich heritage until I started collecting family history. I have an insatiable appetite now for details about these precious families! It is my hope, and prayer, that "the books" will be published soon.

I have a question re: John W. Studebaker that I hope someone can answer. (John W. Studebaker (1862-1926), Vol. 1, p. 221.) Did he marry a second time to Jennie (Brubaker) Baker? While doing research in the books Old German Baptist Brethren Obit-uary Summaries from The Vindicator by Rosa (Hufford) Yoder Bro-vont, I saw that she married "John W. Studebaker" (but his dates were not listed). I speculate, from the dates, that their spouses died and they married. Then John died and Jennie mar-ried for a third time (to Ezra Denhinger). The dates and the fact that they were second cousins, and OGBB, leads me to be-lieve John W. Studebaker, son of Samuel Steel Studebaker was indeed the second husband of Jennie Brubaker. Can you con-firm?? I'm enclosing a printout re: this subject.

As you look at the brief printout, you'll see two "cousin charts." I have over 250 such charts in the Frantz books. I know there are many more cousin marriages but I may lack one or two "links" so I can't create the chart. I know from the surnames.., but lack details.

Compiler/editor suspects that Jennie and her second husband were second cousins but UNCONFIRMED because The Studebaker Family in America - 1736-1976, Vol. 1, pp. 189, 221, does not show a second marriage for John W. Studebaker. Seeking confirmation.
