WHO'S WHO IN THE CAST
MICHAEL COLE (Fred Hutchinson) is familiar to millions of television viewers internationally as Pete Cochran on the popular MOD SQUAD series. Mr. Cole began his career when he studied for two years with Estell Harmon in her acting workshop. With the workshop group he appeared in such productions as SWEET BIRD OF YOUTH, LUTHER, and THE SIGN IN SIDNEY BURSTEIN'S WINDOW. With Miss Harmon's help he got an agent and his first job, a featured role in the film for ABC-TV's THE FELONY SQUAD. The original format was scrapped, as was the pilot. The public never saw the performance, but, fortunately, casting directors did. He appeared in GUNSMOKE, and RUN FOR YOUR LIFE on TV and made two motion pictures THE BUBBLE and CHUKA. Then came the offer from executive producer Aaron Spelling for him to play the role of Pete Cochran in THE MOD SQUAD. Michael has also appeared in the made for-TV movies GET CHRISTIE LOVE, as a double amputee in BEG, BORROW, OR STEAL, and in the highly successful THE LAST CHILD with the late actor Yan Heflin who provided him wi_th friendship and much professional _inspiration.
Focusing most recently on his stage work, Mr. Cole has gathered rave reviews for his appearances in LOVE IN E FLAT, WAIT UNTIL DARK in Chicago; and as Brick in CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF in Dallas and New Orleans. Earlier this year he opened Earl Holliman's Fiesta Dinner Playhouse in San Antonio appearing in Neil Simon's COME BLOW YOUR HORN.
