The End of Suburbia describes one solution called the New Urbanism or Smart Growth. Go to the official documentary website, external links and outline the concept with specific examples and details.

Next, look at the maps of Toronto and surrounding areas. As we are expected to increase our current GTA population by 1 million people in the very near future, where will all of these people live?

Do you plan a NEW community OR do we RETROFIT the existing ones? Devise a plan. You may use Google Earth images to support your findings and opinions. Be sure to include an EXAMPLE and location (where).
