10. Hell's Bells - AC/DC

Taken of the album "Back in Black", Hell's Bells was released by the Australian hard rock band in the fall of 1980. While the song has a mellow tempo, the lyrics are far from temperate. Pouring rain, hurricanes and "lightning flashing across the sky" all tear "Hell's Bells". And yes, the band actually uses a 2000 pound bell in the song.

Iron Maiden released 2 Minutes to Midnight in 1984 on their fifth album "Powerslave". The song has an underlying anti-war theme and is a reference to the Doomsday Clock. A symbolic clock that represent that represents the End of the World. When the clock reaches 12 0'Clock global destruction will occur. The clock was 2 Minutes to Midnight when US and Russia started testing H-Bombs during the same period. It is the closest we have reach to midnight.
