ENERGY EFFICIENT EMBEDDED SYSTEMS
Our solution enables safer automated machinery which in turn reduces the
money, people and time resources. It also provides new business
opportunities in robotics, automated machine control, smart home or hospital
Our solution is based on Ultra-Wideband Impulse Radar technology which
is able to measure the environment even more than 400 times per second
with mm accuracy and maximum range of 10 - 15 meters. The UWB
Impulse Radar is immune to interference from other radio systems, to
multipath propagation, and to environmental factors like rain, fog, snow etc.
We provide technology for sub-mm accuracy distance measurements even
in harsh environments.

High Accuracy Ranging
With UWB Impulse Radar technology high
(mm) accuracy for distance
measurements/ranging is achieved
Advantages: Low-energy, high resolution,
high immunity to interference from other
radio systems, high multipath immunity,
capability of discriminating between direct
and time-orthogonal reflected waves, ability
to detect through obstacles and in dense
media, immunity to passive interference
(rain, fog, clutter, aerosols, etc)
Production ready, implementing technology
is available with reasonable price.

During the measurements robots were used to relocate the
radar to predefined distances from the metal plate. The
accuracy of robots movements is within 1 mm range.

Measured Data
Two measurement sets were performed:
1) Distance between the radar and metallic plate varies from 0.5 m to 1 m, and distance
intervals between the measurements are 5 mm (Fig. 1)
2) Distance between the radar and metallic plate varies from 2 m to 10 m, and distance
intervals between the measurements are 20 cm (Fig. 2)
