Key Facts

1. ScottishPower’s General Terms and Conditions for Domestic Customers and Energy

for Landlords v8 apply. These prices will remain fixed for 45 days from, and inclusive

of, the date that we commence supply to your vacant residential property on the tariff.

Your Direct Debit and/or bill amount may vary depending on your gas and/or electricity

usage.

2. If your property remains vacant at the end of your 45 day fixed period, you’ll

automatically move to our Standard Variable Tariff, unless you select an alternative

ScottishPower tariff or switch supplier. If you pay by Direct Debit you will remain on

the same payment method however, if you pay by a cash payment method, you will

be moved to our Receipt of Cash Monthly payment method.

3. ScottishPower will match 100% of your electricity consumption to renewable energy

certificates sourced directly from the ScottishPower Group’s own renewable

generation, which will mean that the annual CO2 emissions under your tariff will be

zero. Further details are included in your terms and conditions and available by

visiting our website.

4. You can end your agreement(s) at any time by moving to another ScottishPower tariff,

switching supplier or if a tenant or a new owner becomes responsible for the gas

and/or electricity supplied to the property during your 45 day fixed period.

5. At the end of your tariff, if within 20 working days you choose either a new

ScottishPower tariff or we’re notified by another supplier that you’re switching to them

you'll stay on your current prices, (where these are cheaper for you) and terms, with

no exit fee, until the change takes place. Please note your supply must transfer within

a reasonable time (normally 20 working days).

6. If you have an outstanding debt we can object to your supply leaving us. If the debt is

paid in full within 30 working days of us informing you of the objection, you can leave

us without your prices and terms changing.

7. If you fail to make a payment when it’s due, we can make changes to your payment method and/or tariff, which may result in an increase in your prices.

8. If you pay by Direct Debit, we shall be entitled to transfer you onto our Standard tariff prices on an appropriate cash payment method. Details of this can be found on our website.

9. Your initial monthly payment is calculated by dividing your estimated annual spend by

we’ve calculated what you could pay for your gas and electricity over the next 12 months.

The estimate below is calculated using the average tariff prices for our Energy for

Landlords v7 and Standard variable tariff as at the most recent price update. Please note

the tariff prices will vary depending on the area in which you are being supplied. Your

actual tariff prices will be detailed in your tariff confirmation letter or alternatively for a full

breakdown of your pricing information by postal code, please view at

www.scottishpower.co.uk/tariff-information. We recognise that although your property may

be vacant for a period of time, energy may still be consumed. This estimated consumption

may be higher than the actual amount of energy used at your property.

Terms & Conditions

1. Supplies of mains gas and/or electricity from ScottishPower under the Energy for Landlords v8 tariff ("Tariff") will be available until the date when the Tariff is withdrawn by us. The Tariff is only available for vacant residential properties (i) that are owned by a landlord that has a contract in place with ScottishPower which specifically allows the landlord to make an application for the Tariff or (ii) are managed on behalf of a landlord by a letting or managing agent that has a contract in place with ScottishPower which specifically allows that agent to make an application for the Tariff on the landlord's behalf. All applications for the Tariff must be submitted in accordance with the arrangements set out in the contract between ScottishPower and the landlord or their agent on each occasion that the property becomes vacant. The landlord must be aged 16 years or over and must contract to pay, and continue to pay, for the energy supply under the Tariff by monthly Direct Debit, Cash, Cheque or Postal Order, quarterly Direct Debit, Cash, Cheque or Postal Order or online by Debit Card and their electricity meter is a single or multi rate meter. This Tariff is only available as a single rate version for customers with multi-rate electricity meters.

2. You will remain on the Tariff for 45 days from, and inclusive of, the date that we commence supply to your vacant residential property on the Tariff. However, the Tariff will come to an end if a tenant (or a new owner) becomes responsible for the gas and/or electricity supplied to the property during that 45 day period.

3. Subject to Condition 2 and Condition 9, ScottishPower guarantees that the Tariff prices will remain fixed for 45 days from, and inclusive of, the date that we commence supply to your vacant residential property on the Tariff.

4. If your property remains vacant at the end of your 45 day fixed period, you’ll automatically move to our Standard Tariff, unless you select an alternative ScottishPower tariff or switch supplier. If you pay by Direct Debit you will remain on the same payment method however, if you pay by a cash payment method, you will be moved to our Receipt of Cash Monthly payment method. We will send you correspondence with your new tariff prices and T&C’s. Alternatively you may want to choose another of our tariffs (other than the Tariff).

5. ScottishPower will match 100% of your electricity consumption to renewable energy generated by the ScottishPower Group. We will do this by matching every MWh of electricity consumed on this tariff with a Renewable Energy Guarantee of Origin (REGO) certificate sourced directly from the ScottishPower Group’s own renewables generation of over 6TWh. Ofgem issue a REGO certificate for every MWh of eligible renewable output to generators of renewable electricity in the UK, including the ScottishPower Group’s own installed renewable generation capacity.

Based on the national average fuel mix for 2018-2019, a UK consumer with medium typical domestic annual consumption of 2,900kWh of electricity will produce CO2 emissions totalling 606kg. As we will match your consumption with a ScottishPower Group sourced REGO certificate, the annual CO2 emissions under your tariff for electricity will be zero. 6. You have the option to cancel your contract with ScottishPower at any time without being required to pay exit fees.

7. The prices you pay as a Tariff customer will replace any mains gas and/or electricity prices which you may currently pay. These prices can be reviewed in the “Your tariff information” section of your tariff confirmation letter and on our website, under Tariff Information Label.

8. The obligations on ScottishPower under the Tariff and these terms and conditions will not come into effect until we have been registered as the supplier of mains gas and/or electricity to the property.

9. If you no longer own the property to which this Tariff applies, you will not be able to transfer this current Tariff to another property.

10. ScottishPower will meet the Tariff’s fixed price guarantee unless it is prevented from doing so by the actions or requirements of any governmental, statutory or licensing authority.

11. Any Tariff prices given to you are based on the information you have provided to us. If we become aware this is not accurate, we will advise you of the correct prices in writing.

12. If you pay by Monthly Direct Debit and fail to make a payment to ScottishPower under this payment method when it is due, we shall be entitled to transfer you to an appropriate cash payment method on this tariff. If you pay by another payment method and fail to make a payment to ScottishPower

under your payment method when it is due, we shall be entitled to transfer you to an appropriate cash payment method on our Standard tariff. We will notify you of any changes to your payment method and prices should this be necessary.
