IIS Music Department presented the annual Spring concert 22 May.
Unlike past years’ performances, elementary music students did not participate and will hold their own concert in a performing arts showcase Wednesday, June 9.
IIS Orchestra performed popular selections such as pieces from the Lion King and Swedish pop legends ABBA.
IIS Choir performed songs from the musical Sound of Music And Mr. Kim Plamondon's sweet voice led the whole IIS community in a group singing of the song “Edelweiss.”

Art
From Miss Lesa Stremick, IIS art teacher:
Student art was on display during the annual high/middle school Spring concert held
May 21st (page 3).
A big thank you goes to all the art students who worked hard this year to take risks as
growing artists. This year our classes integrated writing, art, Art History, and other
subject areas.
I would like to thank both Ms Kang and Ms Kim for letting the Visual Art Show take
place alongside the music event. Additional thanks also goes to the office and support
staff who helped move the artwork to and from the venue.
There will also be artwork shown at the upcoming elementary Performing Arts
Showcase Wednesday, June 9th.
