Dear Readers,

Wish you all a happy Janmastami, Happy Dusshera and Happy

Deepavali.

By the time this magazine reaches you, some of you are enjoying the

festivals, some would be busy with college and regular duties and some

would be in exam tension. Irrespective of these situations, NGI shall

always be busy in imparting value based education to the students along

with exploring the possibilities of tapping the hidden talents of the

students. At this juncture, I appreciate our Noble Innovation centre’s

contributions in the eld of Robotics, which has made them to be selected

for presentation of their project at international exhibition to be held at

Florida in the month of February. NGI team is the only team got selected

from Gujarat state to participate in the event.

The ‘Make in India’ initiative of Government of India is encouraging the

young talented minds. NGI aims in imparting industry needed education

to the students, so as to place them at the required level in a conducive

atmosphere. Through these activities, we are also trying to bridge the gap

between the industry and the academia.

I would like to share a happy moment with all of you that, NGI is

expanding its tentacles to the eld of paramedical by establishing Aurveda

and Homeopathy colleges and hospitals in the campus from this

academic year 2017-18. This will denitely help the needy and the greedy

people of Saurashtra region.

NGI E-News is our tiny effort to take all the activities of students and staff of

NGi to your door step.

“Education is Self Empowerment”.

Welcome to the September 2017 issue No. 8 of the Noble E-News

E-Magazine, the college magazine of Noble Group of Institutions -

Junagadh.

Before looking ahead, however, I would like to offer a word of

thanks to our readers, our contributors, our editorial board and our

management for their unconditional support.

Education, if looked at beyond its conventional boundaries, forms

the very essence of all our actions. What we do is what we know and

have learned, either through instructions or through observation

and assimilation.

Receiving a good education helps empower you, thus making you

strong enough to look after yourself in any given situation.

Education helps you understand yourself better, it helps you realize

your potential and qualities as a human being. It helps you to tap

into latent talent, so that you may be able to sharpen your skills.

This E-magazine is intended to be published four times in a year.

This 8th issue is a brief account of the important events which

includes curricular and co-curricular activities held up to September

2017 from June 2017.

3rd International “Yoga Day” Celebrationon 21st June, 2017

Noble Group of Institutions had celebrated the 3rd International “Yoga Day” on

21st June, 2017. Total 275 students from various branches such as B.Sc.,

Nursing, Engineering, and Pharmacy actively participated in this program. This

program was guided by Dr. Bhavesh Dhorajiya from B.Sc. Department and

directed by Dr. H. N. Nagaraja sir with various teaching, non teaching staff

members.

Orientation Program for 1st Year B. Sc.on 22nd June, 2017

The rst year B.Sc. students were given a grand welcome into our fold with an

orientation program in presence of director, trustees and faculty staff and senior

students. Program was addressed by Dr. Bhavesh Dhorajiya, Dr. H. N. Nagaraja,

Mr. Parth Kotech, Shri V.P. Trivedi, Shri K.D. Pandya.

Expert talk on Cloud Computing & Data Mining Algorithmsby Dr. Anu Gokhale on 5th July, 2017

These days large amount of data is created every day so with this rapid explosion of data

we are moving towards the terabytes to petabytes. This trend creates the demand for the

advancement in data collection and storing technology. Hence there is a growing need to

run data mining algorithm on very large data sets. Cloud computing is a new business

model containing pool of resources constituting large number of computers. As a part of

this CSE/IT department arranged an expert session presented on 5th July, 2017 by Dr. Anu

Gokhale is the expert on this and currently working with Illinois State University, USA. She

gives the valuable guidance to the students and faculty members about data mining and

cloud computing and makes student aware about what would be the role of data mining

and cloud computing in future.


nTwo Week ISTE STTP on “Electric Power System”

by IIT Kharagpur

In month of July Two Week ISTE STTP on “Electric Power System” was organized by Electrical

Engineering Department of NGI- Junagadh in association with IIT Kharagpur under

National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT) sponsored by MHRD Govt. of India.

Many of the inside and outside faculties attended that workshop and also got the in-depth

knowledge about the advance power system and it’s protections related issues and also

aware of the recent power system scenario, renewable energy and smart grid system.

On date 14th and 15th July 2017 Electrical Department of Noble Engineering College

arranged a workshop on AUTO-CAD electrical. Mr. Shailesh Gaikwad from CADD center

conducted this workshop from 11am to 5:00 pm, more than 75 students were participated in

this workshop.

Expert talk on CISCO by Mr. Hemant Mohiteon 24th August, 2017

CSE/IT department arranged an expert session on 24th August, 2017 by Mr. Hemant Mohite,

who is the CISCO expert and currently working with INTA ,Rajkot. More than 400 students of

degree and diploma CE/IT and EC had participated in this seminar.

Blood Donation Drive on 26th August, 2017

A blood donation drive was conducted at NGI campus in association with Red

Cross Blood Bank, Rajkot. As many as 77 students participated in the drive,

donating blood to save other's life.

Distribution of NAMO Tablets on 26th August, 2017

We at Noble truly believe to maintain a pace with the updating technology and

digitization. In response to this the NGI has ofcially distributed NAMO tablets to

First Year IMBA as well as Degree Engineering students.

Two Days Workshop on Cyber Security “HACKTRACK”by Mr. Sunny Vaghela on 13th & 14th September, 2017

Mr. Sunny Vaghela practically demonstrated area of Cyber

Security, Firewall, SQL Injection, Advanced SQL Injection,

Vulnerability and Attacks, Direct Access Attacks, Reverse

Access Attacks, Phishing and Android Hacking wintnessed by

800+ students in two days.

"Gaddi on Road" A Robo Race Competitionsponsored by CADD Center Junagadh on 16th September, 2017

"Gaddi on Road - Robo Race Competition" was organized by Robotics Club of Noble Innovation

Centre and Sponsored by CADD centre in which 17 robots (17 Teams - 68 students)

participated. All robots have different design, speed and controller. Race track was divided in

two rounds 1st as Booster Round and 2nd as Clipper Round. The winner of the competition was

Fury Gaddi made by Rahul and team and Best Design award went to Shahrukh and team.

got 1st rank in Zonal level Table Tennis competition at KHEL

MAHAKUMBH-2017 and also got selected in state level

competition.

GADAVALA SARAH FIROJBHAI, from Noble Pharmacy Collge, Junagadh ranked

5th in GTU Top 10 in B. Pharm Sem 1 - Regular (December 2016) exam with 9.27

CPI and other 10 students scored more than 8 CPI.

NOBLE PHARMACY COLLEGE, JUNAGADH stood 11th position in GTU for more

than 7 SPI in B. Pharm Sem 1 - Regular (December 2016) exam.

Dr. Heera Rajwnai an Assistant Professor in Humanities and Science Department

had presented a paper in National conference held at Mount Abu organized by

(ASHA) Asian Science and humanities association on 16-17/7/17 and got Best

Paper Presenter award of the year 2017.

She had rendered her service as a judge in the university level Elocution as well
