The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the OPPGand the Florida Clerk of Circuit Court and Comptrollers established theStatewide Investigative Alliance (SIA). The purpose of the SIA is to conductinvestigations of allegations against public and professional guardiansreferred by the OPPG.

On October 29 and 30, 2019, the Pinellas County Clerk and Comptroller’s, Division ofInspector General hosted the SIA’s 3rd Annual Training Symposium in Pinellas County. The SIAprovided an opportunity for the SIA’s Inspectors General, Investigators, OPPG managementand staff, Probate Judges, and others to network, train, and discuss guardianship concernsand issues. The topics discussed included:
