ENGL101 Assignment 2 Multimodal Project as Critical Reading/Curation

 You’ll be creating a 1 to 2­minute multimodal project that uses digital artifacts to present a conversation about a specific kind or type of cultural diversity.  

 This assignment asks you to: 

● Choose one kind or type of diversity to think deeply about (e.g., access and disability, gender and technology, social class and education) 

● Collect and curate a number of sources around this single topic or conversation about diversity 

● Produce a digital multimodal text that represents what you’ve learned and what you’re thinking about­­and share it with the class 

 We’ll use these questions to guide your choices, thinking, and creation: 

● What are people saying in this conversation about diversity? ● What viewpoints or voices are included­­and which ones are omitted? ● How do people represent information in this conversation? What kinds of texts or 

evidence do they use or produce? 

Requirements ● 1­2 minute multimodal text ● Credits for all Creative Commons sources used ● Multiple modes & elements: still and moving images, music, voiceover, title, 

credits, other text
