Course Information and Syllabus in English 3
Descriptive Title: Speech and Oral CommunicationCredit Units: 3 unitsPre-Requisite: English 2
Course Description: Speech and oral communication is a three-unit course that will put more emphasis on the practical application of the knowledge and
skills learned in English 2 such as the Standard English Pronunciation, Phraseology, Stress, Timing, Blending, Intonation, and Grammar. Course Objectives: At the end of the course, the students are expected to:
1. further hone their speaking skills through actual exposure to oral deliveries/performances;2. enhance further the development of good speech habits;3. develop self-confidence in speaking before an audience;4. develop proficiency on the production of the vowel and consonant sounds;5. convey ideas effectively, proficiently, spontaneously, impressively, and expressively verbally and non-verbally.
