Warm up

Today we are going to use pronouns and other nouns to avoid repetition. Repetition is when something that is said or written is used

over and over again, for example:

Gary ate supper when Gary got home. Gary enjoyed the food.

Gary ate his supper when he got home. He enjoyed the food.

After its first use, instead of repeating 'Gary', we could replace further uses with pronouns to avoid repetition, such as:

noun pronoun pronoun alternate noun

How to write an information reportWe can’t just write a report without information and facts. We need to research these and read all about our topic or subject.

Well done Year four

Now that we have our notes on tigers, we can write an information report. Tomorrow we will turn those notes into full sentences and prepare our information report!
