Potential Problems• The difference of the average was

small• Very different sample sizes

– 5(with role plays) vs. 14(grammar alone)

• Only people taught grammar alone got perfect scores

Conclusion• The students who did the situational

role plays scored higher than those who didn’t, showing that role plays are worth the extra class time.

• The best method of teaching grammar is through activities such as situational role plays.
