DEFINING RELATIVE CLAUSES: RELATIVE CLAUSES:
RELATIVE PRONOUN +SUBJECT + VERB
Usamos las oraciones de relativo para dar información importante sobre una
persona, lugar o cosa (Relative Pronoun + Subject + Verb).
Usamos el pronombre relativo WHO para las personas, WHICH para las cosas
y WHERE para los lugares. Usamos WHOSE para indicar de quien o de cual.
Podemos utilizar THAT en lugar de WHO o WHICH
WHO, WHICH AND THAT pueden omitirse cuando los verbos de la oración
principal y de la oración de relativo tienen diferente sujeto. HE´S THE MAN I
MET ON THE PLANE (the subject of met is I, por lo tanto no es necesario
poner WHO).

Si una oración de relativo da información extra, pero esta no es relevante, es
decir la frase tiene sentido por sí sola, ponemos entre ambas comas (o una coma y
punto final). En estas frases debemos poner siempre WHO o WHICH, pero no
podemos utilizar THAT en lugar de WHO o WHICH.
