Hi, I am Fath Akbar Qomari. (perkenalan sedikit apa gitu). Now I am on Slamet Riyadi Street, in

a lively event called Solo Car-Free Day, thats what they call it. Well, I dont know much about

this event, so lets interview some locals for informations.

A: Excuse me. I am Akbar from Ngawi. Im a high school student. Whats your name?

B: I am Bagus. Im a high school student too. Nice to meet you.

A: nice to meet you too. And where are you from?

B: I am from Jebres, Solo. My house is just 7 minute ride (bukan 7 minutes ride) from here.

A: Okay, Bagus, I want to know more about Solo Car-Free Day. So may I have your time for an

    interview?

    B: Yea, thats fine.

    ..

A: Okay. What is Solo Car-Free Day?

B: Its a day where the street is free from gas-emitting vehicle such as car and motorbike. So you

can walk around or ride your bicycle in the highway, where usually its full with cars and

    motorbike.

A: When is this event held?

B: Its held every Sunday morning from 5.00 AM to 9.00 AM, on Slamet Riyadi Street.

A: So basically its a weekly event, isnt it?

B: Yes, it is. Dont miss it friend. I guess that youll never regret to come this weekly event.

Also, its a little act to save our earth. You know that CO2 emision is increasing everyday. That

will make global warming worse. That will be a serious problem. So 4 hours of no-emission

moment between 5.00and 9.00 AM will make a different.

A: Wow, it sounds great. It is like a little thing that will make a big difference. By the way, do

    you always attend this event?

B: Of course, every week. Working 6 days every week is stressful, so I guess it will be good for

me to just relax for few hours.

A: I see, it can be alternative recreation for everybody. Where can I find another car-free event in

    Solo?

B: As far as I know, Slamet Riyadi Street is the only street that has car-free day event in Solo.

A: Okay, what kind of activity do these people do?

B: Well, you can see they walk; do some gymnastic thing; ride their bike, skateboard, and non-

emitting vehicle; hanging around with friends or their hobby-community; buy some foods, or get

relax from their work and many more. I like to buy some foods too in this event. I like to buy

nasi pecel, thats my favourite food.

A: It sounds that I can find everything in here.

B: Thats right. You can buy shoes too friend. Hm, If you want to look around, you can walk

from here until the end of the Slamet Riyadi Street. You will find unique activities these people

do. And if you are lucky, there is a unique carnival sometimes, such as Barongsai carnival few

weeks ago to welcome the Chinese New Year.

    A: Okay, it sounds lovely.

    B: But please be careful!

    A: Is there a problem?

B: A lot of people bring their cute or maybe big scary dogs to walk with them. Just like a dog

fashion show. They can bite you! Hahahaha.

A: Okay, thank you. Really. And by the way, what exactly are you doing here?

B: I am just hanging around with my mountain-bike club. You can see these bikes are ours.

A: I see. How many people this club has?

B: Its 15-20 maybe. They come from elementary school until junior high school.

A: How did you find your members?

B: Its from social media. Its just that simple.I dont forget to ask my friend to join with this

    club. Thats so fun.

A : when you join to be a member of this club?

B : i joined this member about 4 years ago.

A : wow. So long time.

B : yes. They like my family in here.

B: We gather our members first, and then we ride along this street and maybe out of Slamet

Riyadi. Not just it, we also study about the history of place we ride along.

A: Wow, sounds fun. Okay, Bagus, thank you for your time and your information. That helps me

    a lot.

    B: You are welcome.

    A: See you later.

    B: We see.
