There are different types of machinery rooms: A) Traditional, walled machine room (MR) B) Machine room cabinet (MC) C) Machine room in the well, (Machine Room Less - MRL) D) Machine room inside well and control panel outside in dedicated cabinet. Anyway the following conditions should be respected: • In the machine room are showed the instructions for: manual emergency operation and the key for

unlocking triangle of the landing doors.

The machine room should be always locked with the key, to avoid unauthorized entry.

    • Authorized people are the members of the inspection body and people of the maintenance organization. The building guardians or the lift owner can get in only for emergency reasons (to perform the manual operation) and only if correctly instructed.

    • The machine room should not contain goods with no relation to the lift system. • To ensure the correct functioning of the equipment in the Machine room the ambient temperature is

assumed to be maintained between 5 and 40 C°.

    1.1.3 CAUTIONS FOR THE WELL

    • The system was built so that working parts cannot be dangerous for people and so that people cannot reach (directly or with something in the hand) any equipment in the well damaging the lift equipment.

    • For this reason are arranged in well blind protections according to technical rules in force.

    1.4 AUXILIARY CONTROL MODES (MANOEUVRES)

    1.4.1 RESERVATION IN CAR

It uses in car a key switch with 1 Extraction and 2 Positions. To enable the reservation, insert and turn the key to the P position. This operation deletes all the registered calls and disable the landing push-buttons panels. The car parks at floor with open door, independently of the system characteristics. The lift accept and execute only the calls received by the car operation panel. It is not possible to extract the key when the reservation is active. At the end of the reservation use to return to the normal working status of the lift turn the

key to the EP position. When the switch is in the EP position, you can extract the key.

    1.4.2 PREFERRED AT LANDING

It uses at one landing a key switch with 1 Position with return and in car a key switch with 1 Extraction and 2 Positions.

To enable the preferred control insert and turn to the T position the key at landing. The switch at landing automatically returns to the E position and you must extract the key. This operation deletes all the registered calls and the car reaches the landing at which

the key switch is enable. Entered in car, within a time limit, it is possible to use the key switch on the car operation

panel to enable the Reservation control as described in the previous lines. The standard kit include the same key at landings and in the car, but it is possible, on

    request, to have different keys

1.4.3 PREFERRED AT ALL LANDINGS – HOSPITAL STAFF PRIORITY

It uses at each landing a key switch with 1 Position with return and in car a key switch with 1 Extraction and 2 Positions.

To enable the preferred control insert and turn to the T position the key at a landing. The switch at landing automatically returns to the E position and you must extract the

key. This operation deletes all the registered calls and the car reaches the landing at which

the key switch is enable. Entered in car, within a time limit, it is possible to use the key switch on the car operation

panel to enable the Reservation control as described in the previous lines. The standard kit include the same key at landings and in the car, we do not recommend

    the use of different keys.

    1.6 IN EVENT OF DANGER

1.6.1 MANOEUVRE IN EVENT OF FIRE EN 81-73

    1.6.1.1 WITH MANUAL ACTIVATION

It uses a bi-stable manual device (not included in standard delivery), clearly marked to avoid any errors on its position and on its purpose. Placed in the management center of the building or at the designated main evacuation floor. Installed behind a glass panel or located within a secure area to protect it from abuse if accessible to all.

For example, the user device may be

or a key switch with 2 Extractions and 2 Positions

    or a fire alarm push-button

To activate the manoeuvre EN 81-73 from the landing press the button or use the key that must be inserted, rotated to EPI position and extracted to prevent that the lift can return to its normal operation.

Enabled the alarm, all the registered calls are deleted. The system move the car to the designated evacuation floor, open the doors and stop the car in the OUT OF

SERVICE status until the fire alarm will disabled and the system reactivated by authorized personnel. In the OUT OF SERVICE status an access denied light signal in the push-button panel of the designated

evacuation landing, inform users that it is not possible to access in car and that the lift is not usable. At the evacuation landing, normally the car parks with OPEN DOOR but, if local regulations require it

compulsorily, the car can parks with CLOSED DOOR. To reactivate the lift normal operating conditions must be

Insert, rotate to EP0 position and extract the key. Switch off and switch on, the main power switch of the

    system.

To rearm the push-button using the dedicate key or following the instructions of the installed device.

Switch off and switch on, the main power switch of the system.

    1.6.1.2 WITH AUTOMATIC ACTIVATION

An automatic fire detection device activate the manoeuvre. Enabled the alarm, the move the car to the designated main evacuation floor or, if the fire is at the main

floor, to the designated secondary evacuation floor. Reached the evacuation floor available, the system open the doors and stop the car in the OUT OF SERVICE

status until the end of the fire alarm and the automatic fire detection device reset. It is possible to set 2 evacuations floors, a main and a secondary In the OUT OF SERVICE status an access denied light signal in the push-button panel of the designated

evacuation landing, inform users that it is not possible to access in car and that the lift is not usable. At the evacuation landing, normally the car parks with OPEN DOOR but, if local regulations require it

compulsorily, the car can parks with CLOSED DOOR.

1.6.2 MANOEUVRE IN EVENT OF FIRE U36 FRANCE

An automatic fire detection device activate the manoeuvre. Enabled the alarm, the lift continue its work but the car do not receive calls and do not stop at landings with

fire alarm enabled. When the fire alarm ends and all the initial conditions of the automatic fire detection device restored, the lift

restarts to works in normal mode.

1.6.3 CAR PARKING WITH OPEN DOORS

It uses in car a key switch with 1 Extraction and 2 Positions. To enable the reservation, insert and turn the key to the P position. This operation deletes all the registered calls and disable the landing push-buttons

panels. The car parks at floor with open door, independently of the system characteristics.
