FOOD

In England people usually have breakfast from 7 to 9 am. Their

breakfast is usually heavy, they have tea or coffee, toast, orange juice and

eggs. At weekends they have the Full English Breakfast with eggs, bacon,

sausages, toast, fried tomato, baked beans, mushrooms, black pudding and

hash browns.

I think they have lunch very early from 12 to 2 pm and it’s lighter than

breakfast. Two common lunch foods are salad and fish and chips, and

British children eat usually at school.

Then, they have a light meal called Afternoon Tea and they have tea and

cakes or sweets.

And their dinner is very early, from 6 pm to 8 pm and it’s always the same,

fish or meat, potatoes and vegetables.

Here in Spain, people also have breakfast from 7 to 9 am, but it’s a light

meal, we eat biscuits, orange juice or milk.

Then, at 11:30 am we have a sandwich at school.

I think, our lunch is heavier than English lunch, we usually eat meat with

chips, pasta, different types of rice, etc. And also we have lunch later than

English people.

In the afternoon we have a light meal too and we eat milk and sweets.

And finally we have dinner very late, from 22 to 23 pm and we usually eat

soup or meat or fish.

INVICTUS

NELSON MANDELA: Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born in Muezo, the

18th July 1918. He was the president of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.

In 1962 he was arrested because of sabotage and other charges. He was in

prision for 27 years, most of them in Roben Island. He was released on 11th

February 1990. In South Africa he is often called Madibe, his clan name.

He received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993.

PLOT: It’s a film by Clint Eastwood. This film takes place in SouthAfrica.

After being released from prision in 1990, Nelson Mandela became the

president of South Africa, and he tried to reconcite the black and white

people. To do this Mandela used the South Africa rugby team, the

Sprinboks. He asked them to win the World Cup, that it was played in South

Africa. All people said that it was impossible that the Springboks could win

the World Cup. The day of the final everybody was watching the rugby

match, also the black people, that identified the rugby team with the past

government. The Springboks won the World Cup and all the people, whether

white or black, were happy for a day.

PERSONAL OPINION: I like the film, because I saw how South Africa was

before and I learnt things about Nelson Mandela and what he did. It shows

us how the society was before and after Mandela was the president. Also I

learnt the name of cities in South Africa, like Johannesburgo, Pretoria

(administrative capital), Cape town(legislative capital) or Bloemfontein(legal

capital).
