The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is situated on the British Isles. Area- 244,000 square kilometers. The United Kingdom is made up of four countries: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Their capitals are London, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Belfast.

The British Isles are separated from the continent by the North Sea and the English Channel. The flag of the United Kingdom is known as the Union Jack.

England is the largest part of the UK.Its regions are the Southeast, the Southwest, East Anglia, the Midland and the North of England.

The Southeast

The Southwest

East Anglia

Midlands, the Heart of England

The North of England

The capital of the UK is London.London is one of the largest cities in the world and the largest city in Europe.

The UK is a constitutional monarchy. The Head of State is the Queen.

This is my favourite place .Trafalgar Square is a square in central London. It is a tourist attraction.

This is the flag and the Great Seal of the United States.

The United States of America

The United States of America is the fourth largest country in the world (after Russia, Canada and China).

In 1492 Christopher Columbus discovered America.

He thought that he found a new way to Asia.

The United States of America is a federal constitutional republic and consist of 50 states and a federal district

The USA is washed by the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, bordered by Canada to the north and Mexico to the south. The population of the country is about 250 million.

The Capital of the United States of America is Washington.English is the national language.

The USA is a highly developed industrial country. If we look at the map of the USA, we can see lowlands and mountains.

The largest cities are New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit and San Francisco.

CANADA is a country occupying most of northern North America, extending from the Atlantic Ocean in the east to the Pacific Ocean in the west and northward into the Arctic Ocean. It is the world's second largest country by total area and shares the world's longest common border with the United States.

The national flag of Canada, also known as the Maple Leaf.

Canada has a parliamentary government with strong democratic traditions. Parliament is made up of the Crown, an elected House of Commons.

The capital of the country is Ottawa.

But the largest city is Toronto. This city is home to over 5 million people. Toronto is the third largest English-speaking city after London and New York.

Canada is over 40 times bigger than the UK. There are two official languages in Canada: English and French. The Great Lakes are a chain of freshwater lakes located in eastern North America.

The Niagara Falls are waterfalls on the Niagara River.

Australia

The east coast of Australia was discovered by Captain Cook in 1770.

The capital of Australia is Canberra. There are 5 big cities in Australia: Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane.

It is the world’s largest island and its smallest continent. Much of the land is a useless desert. Great deserts cover nearly 2 000 000 square km.

The tropical forests are displaced by savanna or grassland. There are many ways in which it is different from other countries. The first thing most people think of are the strange native animals.

Australia has been called “the land of differences” and “the continent of contrasts”.

There are many wild animals in Australia. Some of them, such as dingos, kangaroos, koalas.

New Year is in the middle of summer, the middle of winter is in June, and the winter months are never cold.Hot winds blow from the north, cold winds blow from the south.
