(To be done individually or in groups from the same church)1.Does your church currently have a clear mission statement? If not, please consider the following questions and write a possible mission statement for your church. After this conference, present it to your leadership for approval or changes. Finalize the churchs mission together and begin to implement it.

Is there something that your church is called to do that is different from others?

Is there currently a standard by which you measure which ministries your church will do or not do?

Why has God placed the church in its location?

Why has God called the churchs members to be at that particular church?

Why has God called you specifically to pastor the church?

2. Write your mission statement (or possible mission statement) below:

3.Is the mission statement known by the majority of the church members? What things can you do to communicate the mission statement more regularly and more creatively so that people will know it and take ownership of it? Answer this question even if you currently have just a possible mission statement, and plan to do these things once your leadership finalizes the mission statement.

4.What is the vision for your church? Remember that Vision answers the questions who, when, where, how and how many. It is likely that you have only a partial vision for your church at this time. Use the space below to write down what God has already revealed to you and the leadership of your church. Then fill in names and dates in the chart to develop a plan for seeking Gods vision for your church.

5. What values or beliefs are important to your church? Review the 14 values held by churches with high conversion growth as taught in the lesson. Which of these does your church hold? Which of these values does not represent your church at this time, but you would like it to? How can you make this change?

6.What practices will fulfill your churchs vision? Review the nine suggestions given in the lesson for ideas, and add your own. If your church is not doing these things, how can you better facilitate these activities?
