    A Valentine's Day poem

    by Frans Bruynooghe from Belgium

    Sweetheart,

When I saw you first, the sky was deep and blue, the wind a gentle caress ,the sun a warm kiss.

When you looked at me,your eyes were deep blue lakespromise of tender happiness.

When you touched my hands, your skin was soft and pure,a touch of paradise.

When you talked to me,your words danced in the air,

your voice, the whisper of a brook ,was music for my heart.

When you walked with me,we talked and said nothing, and all was so important, and nothing mattered yetbut you and me.

You gave me you,I gave you meand you and me were givenand one in two and two in onefor all eternity.
