Health and Safety, along withenvironmental awareness are toppriorities. The company has a fully

The company structure is based on asimple hierarchy system whereby thevarious finishing foremen report to thesite foreman who in turn is answerableto a site agent who then reports back tothe directors on a weekly basis.

castleblaney arts andcommunity resourcecentre

This project comprised the constructionof a two storey Arts and CommunityResource Centre, and includedassociated drainage, external and sitedevelopment works. The building, approx3200m2 is located on Brae St.,Castleblaney.

As the adjacent school had to remainopen during the construction period, itwas important that the entrance of thesite and adjoining areas were kept freeand unobstructed.

This wide ranging project, located on theNewry Road, Banbridge, contained alarge range of works on a variety ofbuildings, including a Main Building, awashblock and an Arts Studio.

The project included construction of anew single storey extension, demolition,provision of piling, building timber framestructures, curtain walling, a variety offloor finishings, tiling, drainage, andfencing.

This scheme, in Killybegs, Co. Donegal,encompassed the demolition of the PierBar, Killybegs, and construction of a new31 bedroom hotel and bars, working withArchitects Sean Dockry & Associates,Galway, and Structural Engineers CoyleKennedy Consulting Engineers.

the alley theatre,strabane

This program, which includedsurveying of existing buildings fordefects, was carried out for StrabaneDistrict Council at Dock St., CanalSt., Railway St., Strabane, Co.Tyrone.

The work, keeping to tight budgetaryand time constraints, was carried outin eight weeks, and included paving,ramps, railings, street furniture,electrical services and planting.

Employed by Monaghan UrbanDistrict Council, this undertakingconsisted of the construction of two 4bedroom semi-detached houses, andtwo corner blocks, each consisting offour 2 bedroom houses and twentyfour 3 bedroom semi-detachedhouses (a total of 34 dwellings) aswell as the required services andamenities, working in tandem witharchitect, Hamilton Young LawlorEllison.

Employed by Monaghan CountyEnterprise Fund, this design andconstruction program was for atechnology focused office workspaceaccommodation together with sundryadditional accommodation.

The work also included all associatedservices engineering, site developmentworks, external works and readying foroccupation. In total, there was 30,000sqft of workspace accommodation,including 15,000sq ft of the total areafitted out with lighting, heating, receptionareas, kitchen, toilets etc.

A project containing 176 traditionalconstruction decorative brick dwellings(50 in phase 2, 51 in phase 4 and 75 inphase 5) of various formats (bungalows,houses and flats) as well as associatedexternal and site development works.

Later phases also included accessroads and gas central heating.

Work on this scheme consisted of multi-elemental improvements of twelve flatsin Dungannon and included majorelements such as new porches andstaircases, layout changes and floorarea enlargements, roofing, windows,electrical rewiring, replumbing andinstallation of new oil fired centralheating, plus external improvements.

This program of improvements, carriedout for Northern Ireland HousingExecutive, covered 41 dwellings in 4different towns, at 7 different sites,which required phasing of the work dueto the houses being occupied bytenants.

The works included repair andreplacement of walls, floors, roofs,finishes, windows, doors, frames,fascias, mechanical and electricalservices, rainwater goods, paths,fencing etc, as well as external re-decoration, and some more majorelements including electrical re-wiring,re-plumbing and re-heating, plus newbathrooms and kitchens to all dwellings.

This project comprised of the demolitionof an existing two story house, and theerection and completion of two 2 storeyblocks containing a dental surgery andapartments, together with associatedmechanical and electrical works,drainage and sitework. The timescale forcompletion of the project was 8 months.

This 14 month scheme was for a newprimary school and nursery unit ofapproximately 1254m2. Employed by theWestern Education and Library Board, andworking in conjunction with Keys &Monaghan Architects Ltd.

st. patricks grammar school,armagh

This program, for St. Patricks GrammarSchool, Cathedral Road, Armagh, involvedwork on a 1011m2 technology block withplant room and basement, a 667m2 twostorey music / history block andrefurbishment of existing areas, includingsite preparation, substructure,superstructure, internal finishing, mechanicaland electrical and external work.

With the school being open and operationalthroughout the works, special care had tobe taken.

apartment development,carrickfergus

This private housing scheme forMorrison Homes Ltd consisted of theconstruction of a four story apartmentdevelopment with piled foundations,blockwork rendered walls with featurebalconies, precast concrete ground andupper floors, trussed and cut roof, fullyserviced with associated siteworks anddrainage.

All work needed to be carried out instrict accordance with NHBC standards,and, due to the nature of thedevelopment, the purchaser was able toselect their own kitchen, bathroom andwall tiles from ranges identified withintender documentation. The project wascompleted in 3 phases, those being a 9unit, a 12 unit, and a final 9 unit blockrespectively.

Works undertaken for the NorthWestern Health Board at LetterkennyGeneral Hospital included alterationsand extensions to provide echo-cardiograph and oncology /haematology ward accommodation.Mainly in the form of phased projects,the work included provision of amodular building by a nominated sub-contractor and extensive structuralalterations and refurbishment of theexisting hospital building.

Given the health and safety implicationsof work in and around an operationalhospital, prevention measures had to betaken to reduce health risks withoperational procedures and anti-aspergillosis infection measures inplace.
